The upgrading of the 191km Rwenkunye–Apac–Lira–Puranga Road is underway, transforming it from gravel to bitumen standard. Implemented by the @GovUganda through the @MoWT_Uganda with support from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The project is divided into: 🔹 Lot 1: Rwenkunye–Apac (90.9km) 🔹 Lot 2: Apac–Lira–Puranga (100.1km) The works are being executed by Sak Construction General Trading & Contracting Company, with M/s Dar Al Handasah Consultants providing consultancy services. The scope includes a 7m-wide asphalt concrete carriageway, 1.5m shoulders, drainage systems, swamp crossings, and embankment protection. The road will improve mobility and strengthen links across Kiryandongo, Apac, Kwania, Kole, Lira, and Pader districts.

And @MoLGUganda and urban development should fast track the city development plan since @HoimaCity is @AFCONPAMOJA27 host city...A lot has to be erected and rectified in the shortest time possible.more especially on infrastructure and services

They pay taxes and are licensed to operate as bars in the locations. It shd be regulated not to inconvenience others but not closing and sometimes accept the inconvenience.

Dear @KCCAUG @Buzeki_Sharifah ,kindly save us the very loud noise from @dstrkt24_kla , this bar has disturbed the peace of health workers in Mulago. The few hours one gets to rest at night is close to impossible. Let them install sound proof, this is not Kabalagala!. It is the only bar in the entire neighbourhood doing this ,kindly save us 🙏 Meanwhile anyone can end up at Mulago, let us keep the peace of health workers. They work so so hard!

The officials also inspected the Busunju–Kiboga–Hoima and Mityana–Mubende road rehabilitation projects 🛣️. The projects had recently stalled due to limited funding, but works have aggressively resumed after the contractors were paid for completed works. The Permanent Secretary, Waiswa Bageya, urged the contractors to expedite the works and ensure faster progress on the projects.

Kenya 🇰🇪 Nepotisms at its highest. Kenyans around the world are in shock after the daughter of Kenyan President William Ruto had an official government visit to Uganda and was received by President Museveni! Charlene Ruto has no official position in the Kenyana government and this raised questions to why she was received like a President. President Museven said "we discussed areas of cooperation and shared interest. I am pleased that she is investing on the continent. Africa must continue to focus on value addition in order to create jobs and retain wealth within our region. We also explored ways of strengthening regional collaboration to create more opportunities for our young people."

Judith Nabakooba, officials from the Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom, leaders of the local government, security forces, technical teams from the National Forestry Authority (NFA), NEMA, and government surveyors, we officially launched the emplacement of boundary pillars for Bugoma Forest in Kikuube District. This exercise is a decisive step toward securing the forest’s legal boundaries and safeguarding it as a strategic national asset. While there has been controversy surrounding sections of the forest’s borders, government remains resolute. The demarcation process is grounded in lawful survey records and inter-agency coordination, and it will proceed accordingly. We are committed to ensuring that this activity is fully implemented and that all encroachers are removed in line with the law. Protecting Bugoma Forest is a national obligation tied to environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and the long-term interests of our country.

The Deputy Head of the State House Diaspora Unit, Mr @HenryWabyona, coordinated a stakeholders’ meeting bringing together the President of the National Alliance of Ugandan Canadian Associations (NAUCA), Mr Justus Mirembe, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Mr Moses Byaruhanga (@MosesByaruhang), and His Royal Highness Prince Kitehimbwa of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom. The meeting focused on aligning government and diaspora-led business opportunities, with emphasis on strategic sectors including oil and gas, cultural tourism, commercial agriculture, real estate, and the creative industries. Discussions explored practical ways of mobilising the Ugandan diaspora to invest in these priority areas while strengthening partnerships between cultural institutions, government agencies and private sector actors. The engagement was enriched by contributions from leading figures in the creative sector, including renowned musician Moses Ssali (@BebeCoolUG) and comedian Patrick Salvador Idringi (@idringp), who shared perspectives on the growth potential of Uganda’s creative economy. The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by the State House Diaspora Unit to strengthen diaspora engagement and promote investment partnerships that support National development.
