Anyone recommend a decent book on the English civil war? Mid weight i.e. I'm not an academic so want something that's detailed enough but a jumping off point to more

Non hobby related news: twins! Doris and Hedvig was born the day before yesterday (Thursday), both are doing well and so is their fantastic mother. Expect hobby output to be a bit slow in the foreseeable future😅

@Danjsalt The sprue layout and piece design is super annoying. Well it was 5-6 years ago before moving to historicals.

Having played The Witcher 2 & 3 on console and somewhat enjoying the Netflix series, I was bought the first 3 books in The Witcher series for crimbo. As I suspected, the books are head and shoulders above the TV adaptation. I finished the first 2 and am now onto Blood of Elves.

Stalingrad Project: After many frustrating hours, the Katyusha is built! 😅 I've left a door off so I can give the cab a coat of paint & then get the painted driver in. The rocket assembly is also not glued in place for ease of painting. I'll start painting tomorrow. 👍
