@jasmineeazj I don’t mind if they show a good deal of skin but I’d prefer their butts be covered in public (swimming maybe the sole exception). When I’ve brought this up to people (including women) they’ve criticized this as Sharia law. So… clearly if they’re defending it it’s no my misogyny

Potential Path for Starmer to remain in N10: Split the Labour and Co-operative party, with the two being leaders of either one and form a Coalitionn

@rushicrypto This is just a total abuse of the property right… the individual has the right to the accumulation of property and wealth if they provide thst much value to the society.

No more billionaires. None. Once you hit $999 million, every extra cent goes to schools and health care. You get a trophy that says: “I won capitalism.” And we name a dog park after you.

@Legal_Fil Yea… I think Bush won the votes cast… but the people intended Gore to win. Butterfly ballots caused Gore’s defeat.

Set that aside. It is nuts that the left keeps complaining about Bush v Gore even though every audit of the 2000 election shows that Bush won Florida by more than the final figure. So the complaint is that the SCOTUS didn’t go along w/ an effort to steal a presidential election.

Would be hilarious if Burnham did win the by-election but can’t get the 81 names to challenge the PM.

@NewDealHawk2 @greggnunziata While it is not outlawed in the constitution it compromises judicial independence and legitimacy and thus the separation of powers and checks and balances (both of which are constitutional principles).

When I post against court packing, progressives in my replies ask, "What's the answer to lawless judges?" The answer is the Constitution and democracy, making judges a priority in your electoral coalition. This is what we did over decades. You are not more mad over Callais than we were over Roe.

@ace5mild @greggnunziata They didn’t pack the court. You’d have a conservative majority anyways and roe overturned. Also, there could be a liberal court through fair means in the next term considering the justices’ age. Do it right.

@greggnunziata Ah.. yes true colors. Court packing for me but not for thee. 6 anti abortion judges was your priority. Constitution be damned.

@DerekDenhamAlan @greggnunziata The Republican justices on the court were not very conservative, if conservative at all . I like many justices who either voted for Roe or Casey, but they were not all conservatives. Stevens is among the most liberal jurists ever.

@greggnunziata Ah, yes, who can forget Roe — a case where Repubs on the court voted in favor of Roe! That one! The one that Repubs want to blame democrats for, but Repub justices voted for. And roe didn’t remove voting rights from minorities. It *granted* rights You’re so twisted can’t see it

@greggnunziata We should add Puerto Rico as a state first. Then hold referendums in Venezuela and one in Cuba (after deposing the communist regime) on statehood.

@MikeDeSantis1 @RekietaLaw It states that they are to retain their OFFICES not that they shall remain federal judges—the Supreme Court Justice is their office. Good Behavior is also interpreted as life terms. Of course this would have to be interpreted by the court.

@RekietaLaw This is not unconstitutional. The Constitution guarantees that they are federal judges for life, but there is nothing about which federal bench they occupy. Supreme Court justices could be moved to appeals court or another federal bench - perfectly lawful.
