While it’s welcome news that cricket will again be played on Australia Day, Cricket Australia’s decision not to play our national anthem is yet more tone deaf woke moralising. Yes, our past is not perfect. But our nation’s achievements far outweigh the wrongdoings, and our nation is worth celebrating. Instead of kowtowing to activists who want to make Australians feel guilty about our past and ashamed of our nation, Cricket Australia should proudly play our national anthem at the Big Bash final, reflecting the views of the overwhelming majority of Australians – and cricket fans – who love our country and feel profound gratitude for being Australian.

@NovemXI Eros is the animating force which drives men (and women) to do great things, to conquer, to overcome and to create. To release this force cheaply and inconsequentially through porn neuters your drive for greatness.

@dantypo One of my favorite airports is Orlando. When you first arrive, everyone around you is excited and happy. When you leave, everyone is sunburned, irritable, exhausted, and broke after the mouse has shaken them down for every penny.

I feel qualified to chime in here. Being middle class is a relatively new thing for most of the developing world. A table full of food feels luxurious to the Thai, the Turk, the Arab, the Indian, in a way westerners don’t quite grasp. Hunger is too far distant from our psyche. I look at a table like this and I see gluttony and waste. The Turk feels content with the feast laid out before him. The table laden with food represents success to him in the same way westerners view a well manicured lawn or a decent wine collection. They are still at the safety stage of industrialization. Westerners want self-actualization.

I’m not sure the irony could get any sweeter. The institution responsible for keeping inflation under control has staff rejecting a 9.5% pay rise because they don’t believe it keeps pace with the cost of living.

@IonaItalia It was fantastic!! I hadn’t seen the film or the play before so I had nothing to compare it to. I’d highly recommend it. It’s on at the Sydney Theatre company :)

Your 30s are for raising a family while growing in your career and settling into a home as you save for retirement and find time and funds to travel and stay involved in your hobbies and be there for your friends' special moments and cooking your own meals while keeping a regular fitness routine and a clean house and still getting enough sleep to function.

Certain factions of the "rich," like Rogen, don't self-identify because they believe they were given their wealth in exchange for access to their delicate genius. Whereas if you got rich selling widgets, you're clearly exploiting your fellow man and hoarding wealth. You see, there's good money and bad money. Bad money is other people's money. Your money is good money. Being "rich" is what the bad people do with their money.
Ruzy.hl@0xRuzy

Seth Rogen said rich people used to spend their fortunes building things everyone could use. Seth Rogen: Maybe this is like naive of me, but it seems like these rich people who are like, had outsized wealth, it seems like they used to like to have their names on things Keanu Reeves: Libraries, that were like public... Seth Rogen: able to be used by the public. Keanu Reeves: National parks. You know what I mean? Yeah, parks... Seth Rogen: ...parks, observatories, libraries, museums, you know, things like that. And now it's like, people don't do that stuff anymore.

In life, you must choose your regrets. “You'll regret it if you get married. You'll regret it if you don't get married. You'll regret it if you have kids, and you'll regret it if you don't. Kierkegaard said this 200 years ago as follows: ‘Whatever you choose, you'll regret it. Because the problem isn't in your choices; it's in romanticizing a life you haven't lived. A person always finds an untraveled path alluring and mysterious. That's why the issue isn't making the right choice. It's choosing and deciding which regret you'll live with.’ What have you decided?” — Salih Guney

This is why no female lead goes through a character transformation to become better in movies (Wonder Woman, Captail Marvel, Mulan etc.). Instead their realisation during climax is that they should stop doubting themselves and they were perfect all along. Also the reason why most of these movies suck.
