@BBCNews Talk about zero tolerance. I bet 99% of the time, service is as expected, and yet people don’t acknowledge that. But the 1% when service goes down, as inevitably any tech-driven service will, and it’s not just a ‘shambles’ but people act like WW3 has commenced 🤷♂️
@ipswichstar24 Did PCC deliver on last year’s commitments? I’ve no doubt they’ll perform another tick-box exercise of public consultation / feedback, to promptly ignore everything voiced and proceed with the increase regardless. More money for declining service is despicable.

@BrianLodge1 And when there is no choice but remove it? Or it’s accidentally exposed? Then, in my domestic setting, it becomes a threat to my family and commands a £2k bill to handle. Why am I punished for the existence and use of this harmful material in domestic properties?
It's not just concrete we've got to be worried about.
More than 5 years ago I was urging the Conservatives to carry out an immediate review into the state of asbestos.
As @tendollarguy says, it's the invisible killer lurking in our schools, but there is no plan for its removal.
@jackabbott90 I believe Gov should provide grants for domestic residents (e.g. similar to clean energy schemes) where the presence of asbestos must be removed. It cost £2k for removal of a small board when renovating bathroom to accommodate disabled wife. Why am I punished for this material?
@KEEMSTAR Scrolling through daily feed. No idea who this is. But it says “Dear Logan Paul”. Thinking to myself - doesn’t the Internet nowadays offer ways to contact someone direct? 🤔 Anyway, my name isn’t Logan so I guess I’ll scroll on….
@jessiehewitson@theipaper Biggy said “mo money, mo problems”. The amounts that this person is quoting is staggering. No, not the price that the repayments jumped to, but the capital that this person had access to. Quarter-Million deposit?? £132k savings?!!! £20k from Mummy??! #RealityCheck#Privilege
@olifranklin Incredible article, and incredible response from everyone sharing their knowledge of resources & support out there. To throw in one more - Dr Gabor Mate’s work and particularly his book ‘When the body says no’.
This is the most personal piece I've ever written. It's about my last three years living with chronic pain - the mystery, the loneliness, and the failures of the system. (Warning: discusses self harm and suicidal thoughts.) theguardian.com/society/2023/j…
@SkyNews I believe one of the biggest future medical breakthroughs would be the ability for a Doctor to bridge with another persons body to feel what they feel. Imagine the diagnosis and treatment advantage to not having to rely upon a persons articulation of their condition.
I’m tired of pretending everything is fine so my friends don’t get sick of me. I just lost EVERYTHING at 25. I haven’t really walked or been outside in 6 months, haven’t watched a movie or worked and I’m in always in unbearable pain. And everyone is tired of hearing about it.
@SahilBloom Powerful. Thank you for sharing. I would kill myself before I allow my child to spend any of this asset pushing me around in a wheelchair. I don’t want my Son caring for me when they should be out in the world living their best life.
The point: Time is our most precious asset.
When you're young, you are literally a "time billionaire”—rich with time.
Too many people fail to realize the value of this asset until it is gone.
Treat time as your ultimate currency—it’s all you have and you can never get it back.
@tendollarguy@thetimes So pleased that you’re drawing attention to this. Asbestos board in my 1970’s flat forced £2k for pro removal before I could adapt bathroom to suit wife’s disability. I believe UK Gov should offer grants where removal is essential. Why should I be punished for this material?!
My piece on asbestos in the Sunday Times Magazine today. It's truly shocking. Asbestos: the forgotten killer taking 5,000 lives a year Asbestos: the forgotten killer taking 5,000 lives a year

@AmazonUK We have a regular del. driver that always leaves parcels at the communal entrance to a block of flats rather than delivering to the customer front door. They are vuln to theft. Can I complain/feedback & how? The order feedback feature doesn’t have an appropriate choice.
@Sprigato@Victoria_Spratt@mortgageprison My numbers are ballpark same as yours. From the FCA Report, such numbers are in the worst end of the category. Some comfort knowing I’m not alone.
@Victoria_Spratt@mortgageprison Just about to put mine up for sale, had a £300 per month increase over the last 12 months. 19 years left on a £90k mortgage, paying nearly £900 per month

@FiretrapOnline Same trouser design, same @SportsDirectUK store & rail, different colour shades, both UK 30R on the label, yet a difference of 2” on the waist and 3” in length 🤔
@jamesdrodger My GP surgery reporting max capacity by mid-morning and turning away any new requests - to 111 from 18:30, to Pharmacists, etc. They’re firefighting and shifting demand anywhere just to move onto the next #NHSinCrisis
@jamesdrodger The point being, how much are we seeing this today? All routes lead to A&E as last hope. GP’s turning people away otherwise reluctant to treat, and referring elsewhere / anywhere. MH cases going unsupported, resulting in self-harm & attempt suicide, ending at A&E #NHSinCrisis
@jamesdrodger I did too back in 2014. It was compacted wax and causing significant pain that needed immediate resolution after several sleepless nights and not performing at work. Not my fault, but the fault of GP’s failure to act, and so it fell on A&E as last desperate resort… #NHSinCrisis
@7ing7ing@AXS_UK Many thanks! Yes seems accurate - my email confirmation says ‘General Admission’ but nothing about the tier I purchased - so does seem I paid more for the same ticket, having lost 10am-11am registering on AXS and missing the launch tix. Very weird!
@AXS_UK Hi, What’s the difference between Launch, Tier 2, and Tier 3 tickets in the Guns N’ Roses BST Hyde Park Amex Presale? The official BST website for ticket info doesn’t define these levels. Thank you.
