So Theo Von went on Joe Rogan … And expressed frustrations about how the world is controlled by Satanists, we’re giving all our money to Israel, and everything is doom and gloom. One week later, posts picture and says he’s thankful for his friends like Candace. Makes sense now. Choose your friend wisely.

The person in this post ran global AI enablement at L7. Eight years. Built systems executives depended on. Moved wherever Amazon needed. Fixed problems no one else could untangle. And they got optimized out anyway. That’s the tell. The people building AI adoption programs inside these companies are being cut to fund the infrastructure those programs would run on. Amazon is cutting 30,000 people over three months while posting $21 billion in quarterly profits and $180 billion in revenue. Capital expenditures hit $125 billion in 2025 and will climb higher in 2026. AWS alone is getting $50 billion for government AI infrastructure. The company has added 3.8 gigawatts of datacenter capacity this year, with plans to double again by 2027. Every percentage point of headcount reduction frees up cash for another batch of H100s. Jassy said it himself: “As fast as we’re adding capacity right now, we’re monetizing it.” Amazon’s capex is now larger than the entire U.S. energy sector’s combined spending on drilling, extraction, refineries, and chemical plants. The top five hyperscalers will spend $600 billion on AI infrastructure in 2026. That money has to come from somewhere. The headcount line item is being converted into the datacenter line item. Salaries become servers. Experience becomes expenditure. Whether running for Congress changes anything depends on whether policy can move faster than $600 billion in annual capital deployment. The hyperscalers aren’t waiting for permission.

Well this isn’t exactly how I hoped my day would start. After 8 years, I just got laid off - as did 16k of my peers. But before anyone rushes in with explanations that make them feel better, let me be clear about what this wasn’t. It wasn’t performance and it wasn’t AI. It wasn’t location, versatility or impact. I was an L7, I led global AI enablement. I built systems executives depended on, moved wherever the company needed me and fixed problems that had been sitting untouched because no one else could untangle them. And I was still cut. Here’s the part we’re all supposed to politely ignore: in the U.S. right now, experience isn’t an asset, it’s a liability. And if you’re expensive because you’re good at what you do, the system eventually “optimizes” you out. This doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s enabled by a global labor market with almost no guardrails. Companies aren’t just competing on products anymore, they’re arbitraging labor across borders, wages, benefits and worker protections. When replacement is cheaper than retention, the decision gets framed as strategy instead of consequence. AI becomes the excuse, not the cause. It’s the clean narrative that hides what’s actually happening: experienced workers being swapped out through global labor substitution while leadership talks about “efficiency” and “the future of work.” That cycle keeps repeating because nothing in our policy stack meaningfully pushes back. Trade, labor and technology policy all pretend they’re separate, and workers pay the price for that fiction. I saw this coming and that’s why I’m running for Congress. I understand how this system works because I’ve lived inside it and I know it won’t fix itself. This is a rules problem and the rules are written by people who don’t bear the cost. If this resonates, don’t just nod along and move on. Support my candidacy, back someone who actually understands how global labor, AI and corporate incentives intersect and believe me when I say I am motivated to address this directly. By pretending this is inevitable, we’re accepting the outcome. #amazonlayoffs

The LATEST: Amazon layoffs are dropping tomorrow (27th/28th). And no... this isn’t about performance. KIRO is the focus... From one insider- "It's been smoke and mirrors from our perspective." APJ HR invites already landing around 3am local. Here's the part Amazon doesn’t want discussed:👇 Whoever builds the list chooses the narrative - based on the mandate. • “Save X in cost” - you get this outcome • “Reduce headcount by X%” - you get a very different outcome Same orgs.. but different casualties for different mandates. AWS Solutions Architects... this is where it gets ugly: Generalist SAs → L7s are most exposed (plus some L6s) Specialist SAs → L5s take the biggest hit Their work including demos, architectures, and delivery is the easiest to push down or reassign. Over the last two years, AWS has been systematically removing L7 SAs and backfilling with L6s. • Executive relationships → L8+ • Hands-on execution → L5 / L6 • L7 → exception-only, unless deep industry specialist I’m hearing L6 → L7 promotions now require L10 approval, and only with defensible industry or business depth. This means fewer L7s where industry knowledge is essential. Almost none where it isn’t. Expect major reorgs in customer service after this. Additional orgs at risk: • PACE • Prototyping • “Innovation” teams Internal line: “Kiro is the new PACE.”

As I have been saying... Amazon layoffs are coming next week... The 28th is one of the natural separation dates, as I previously posted back in Nov 2025... So the 27th/28th makes a lot of sense to muddy waters even more. 👇👇👇

Amazon layoffs UPDATE: The January layoffs likely to be the week of the 26th. Possibly first week February. My thought is the 27/28th. Trying to confirm exact dates per region. More to come.

Optima (1958, Hermann Zapf) is a classic humanist sans-serif with flared terminals mimicking serifs, inspired by ancient inscriptions, great for readability in text/display. Optimum is a modern derivative based on Optima, with similar elegant style, available in 40+ styles like Regular and Bold. It offers more variants but lacks Optima's historical depth and refined variants like Optima Nova. Both excel in versatility, though Optima is often preferred for its authenticity.

The best breakfast on the planet has to be Greek Yogurt, protein powder, and blueberries. Greek yogurt is great for the gut. Protein powder regulates appetite and improves muscle. Blueberries are fibrous and contain antioxidants to lower inflammation. Eat this every morning and you're eating a gut friendly, muscle building, inflammation fighting, appetite suppressing meal first thing in the morning.

@caitoz No she didn’t — not even close. All she did was prove that Christians aren’t suckers — churches have been a prime target for scammers ever since there have been churches, and we’ve learned to carefully vet charity cases before we give anything away.
