I was talking to my boomer neighbor across the street a while back and he mentioned how his son asked him for 5k to help buy his first house in town, which is hard for young families to get into because house prices here are ridiculous. @suchnerve I use self hosted SearXNG thru a Pangolin DNS server on a VPS for like 5 bucks a month.. this also routes to my NextCloud, ComfyUI and Jellyfin Server.. so I cut out most cloud services.. still looking into email and if it's worth the hassle.
