Just like passport centres, GBA is working on a pay-for-speed model for 27 services such as birth certi, khata, plan approval
Charges will be higher than official fees but cheaper than what touts demand
Not ideal but hopefully helps as I’ve seen people pay Rs 50k just for khata

Travel for 2+ hours across Bengaluru to the lone Adhar Seva Kendra in the city that does enrollment for OCIs. Get told by the receptionist that apart from online forms there are a bunch of other forms that need to be filled, attested, stamped. Infuriating that not one job gets

Sir, the ask is not for people to do the work for free. The ask is for citizens to help design/review/audit the system. There are constructive inputs in this thread if you review - for example someone pointed out that it is very difficult to get a vendor fulfilling all the requirements in the tender.
I can understand your skepticism, I would be too. Having worked in the system for last 3 months as a volunteer I can say people know when to engage volunteers and when to engage professionals. Cheers.

PS: the person initiating this tender, Ms Nandini PM (KAS) was extremely accessible and responsive, helped us complete the deliverable - end to end - in less than a month. In a bureaucratic culture, this is appreciably quick, more so for a team of volunteers unfamiliar with BDA and snatching pockets of time outside office hours. @NandiniPM1301

Overall, after the new administration @mlanaharis @Captain_Mani72 took charge, *progress has improved*. However, a few critical works still remain pending in 2600 acres.
As per BDA’s Nov 2025 notification, *asphalting, electrification & street-light activation* across ~2600 acres were to be completed by *March 31, 2026*.
We had requested and commissioner sir instructed *day drone views (all roads, sectors, 9 blocks)* and *night views after full lighting — hoping these will be uploaded soon, since work completion achieved is what BDA claim and few site owners highlighting pending works.
• Asphalting in some sector few roads still incomplete
• Feeder pillars & street-light activation pending across layout
Further pending works:
• Water supply
• Site cleaning, demarcation & numbering
• Culvert cleaning
• Signboard installation

However, on the ground, electrification and street-light works are not visibly progressing across the layout. @BDAOfficialGok, fed up visiting your head office and Division office (west) to link propery to registered mobile number on property tax portal.
In BDA head office we tried meeting Srinath of EPD, waiting for hours for two days, without any luck. Then they suggested to meet Jyoti madam. Unfortunately Your west division office is least bothered. Why can't you just provide option for citizens to link mobile number to property PID by themselves?
Interestingly, while applying for eKhata, property tax must be made before proceeding to the final stage of application. So inspite of that why is mobile number not linked?
