Anonymous I was in line at the grocery store when the guy in front of me asked the cashier, “Do you guys hire?” She looked up. “Yeah, we’re always looking. Apply online.” He nodded. Paid for his ramen and left. Something about the way he asked made me follow him to the parking lot. “Hey, you looking for work?” He turned. Surprised. “Yeah. Got laid off two months ago. Applications everywhere. Nothing yet.” I could see his car. Backseat full of stuff. Blanket. Pillow. He was living in it... “What kind of work you do?” “Warehouse. Forklift certified. Anything really. I just need something.” Pulled out my phone. Called my buddy who manages a distribution center. “You still hiring?” Put the guy on the phone. They talked. My buddy said, “Come in tomorrow. Ten AM. Bring your forklift cert. We’ll try you out.” The guy hung up. Stared at me. “Did that just happen?” “Yeah. Show up on time. Work hard. It’s yours.” He grabbed my hand. Shook it hard. “I’ve applied to a hundred places... Nobody calls back. You just… made one call. Why?” “Because I’ve been unemployed. I know how it feels when nobody gives you a shot. Now you got one. Don’t waste it.” Got a text two weeks later. Unknown number. “It’s the grocery store guy. Still working. Got my first paycheck. Getting a place next week. Thank you for making that call. You changed everything.”

Based on some mainstream views, my counter views: In the next decade, the west isn't collapsing. The US isn't collapsing. The USD isn't collapsing. The GCC countries aren't quitting the USD or the US. UAE and its Dubai are not collapsing. Russia is not collapsing. IMHO, all the above are GLISCO propaganda that has gone mainstream. And so many in the world have fallen for it. And it is going to affect their future if they take life decisions based on this. To the contrary, I see the US is getting stronger. The USD will get stronger from here. The US is going to control most of the world's oil and set the oil price. China will get weaker due to US actions. India will get stronger. The UAE and its Dubai will do very well. Russia will be back mainstream, work with the US where it can, and will become another rich "European" nation.

@ravihanda In almost every sphere of life, India's each and every ecosystem is full of deception, cheating, and lies. One of the reason why, Indians have a low trust because the society has degenerated beyond repair.

Most people are shocked by what’s happening at Galgotias. Frankly speaking, I’m not. When I was running Handa Ka Funda, I sold aptitude and placement preparation programs to a bunch of tier 2 and tier 3 colleges. Or at least tried to and failed. 😁 Not Galgotias specifically, but similar institutions. Some smaller, some larger. If you want to understand this ecosystem, you have to understand the student first. Every year, lakhs of students from tier 2 and tier 3 towns are trying to move up the ladder. Many of them don’t get into top public institutions. Sometimes it’s privilege. Sometimes it’s preparation. Sometimes it’s simply the brutal math of competition. So what do they do? They pick the best option available to them. And how do they evaluate that option? Through rankings, advertisements, “100% placement” claims, success stories, billboards, and glossy brochures. That’s where the game begins. Colleges compete on perception. They push aggressively in private rankings. They sponsor coverage. They amplify any student who lands a good job and turn that individual achievement into institutional branding. If a student cracks something on sheer personal effort, the college narrative absorbs it instantly. You’ll see full page ads claiming record placements and sometimes you’ll see systems being gamed. Well, even top institutions do that in India. Is it pretty? No. Is it surprising? Also no. If you’ve spent time visiting tier 2 and tier 3 campuses in North India, this pattern feels familiar. Galgotias is not the exception. It’s a symptom of how the majority of this segment operates. It’s about an ecosystem where aspiration is high, supply of elite seats is limited, and branding becomes the bridge between hope and enrollment and until those incentives change, the behavior won’t.

STORY | AI will power India's journey to developed nation by 2047: Pradhan Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday urged India's youth to harness the full potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), asserting that the technology will play a pivotal role in realising the vision of a Viksit Bharat. Speaking at the AI Impact Summit, Pradhan called on the next generation to deepen their engagement with AI, strengthen teamwork, and explore the vast possibilities the technology unlocks. Pradhan said that AI presents a significant opportunity for India, as he cited the country's multi-dimensional, multicultural and multilingual facets, alongside its rich history and legacy. He noted that AI can be a powerful tool in understanding and navigating the complexities. "AI is giving us an important opportunity. We have a multi-dimensional, multi-cultural and multi-lingual, complex society, with a rich history and legacy... AI can be an important tool in understanding its complexity and multi-dimensionality," Pradhan said. The minister exhorted India's youth to deepen their understanding of AI and the wide-ranging opportunities it offers; he encouraged them to embrace the transformation rather than fear it. @NalinisKitchen @harjjotsinghh I always say India has become a low trust society. Values that most indians boast of are literally non existent & its degrading at exponential rate. Not a single govt department where you don't see corruption. Exceptions maybe there but top to bottom, all out there to mint money.

Just look at those black bottles. That is actually cooking oil being used to fry French fries at the McDonald’s Jaipur outlet. ~ 40 litres of cooking oil were destroyed. - 40 kg of rotten tomatoes were also destroyed. If you think McDonald’s is an international brand and never does anything wrong, then you are wrong. This is what people are doing these days just to make a profit. Food safety has become a joke. If this had happened in the USA, the outlet would have been shut down. Here, they will get a notice, and fresh oil was ordered for immediate use.

This is the kind that sits in a man's chest at 3 a.m. and doesn't leave. Read slowlyyyyyyyyy. 1. One day you'll realize nobody actually knew how hard you tried. And the world will move on anyway. 2. Your father got tired, too. He just didn't have the luxury to collapse. 3. Every man is born free. Then bills, expectations, and silence put him in chains. 4. The scariest moment in a man’s life isn’t failure. It’s realizing he settled. 5. Love is praised, but provision is demanded. Miss one payment and watch affection evaporate. 6. Men don't break loudly. They rust quietly until something snaps. 7. The world only listens to men who can walk away. 8. One day your body will refuse what your mind kept forcing. That bill comes due. 9. History remembers men who carried weight without applause. Not the ones who complained. 10. If you die without becoming who you could've been, no one calls it murder. They call it normal. That's not motivation. That's a mirror.

@srinualavilli Parking is a major problem around ORR and on the streets behind the tech parks. The roads have become Parking area for Taxis and Autos. The govt is just a mute spectator here. It seems the Road widening behind Ecoworld for the Taxi, Autos and tempo travelers.

In October 2025, on average 514 new cars were sold daily in Bengaluru. DAILY. Ever wondered where all these cars find parking? On the roads. On residential streets. On both sides of service road next to tech parks on the ORR. Couldn’t help but notice parked vehicles taking up precious public space for FREE, everywhere on a recent visit to @BNCCofficial. We all know Bengaluru doesn’t have good road density especially in the outer areas. We can’t afford to shrink it further with unpaid, unauthorised parking. Parking Policy has been made 5 years ago, but waiting to be implemented. Towing needs to come back. Basements must be used for parking not to run business. Buses need to be more frequent and reach all areas to connect to Metro. @GBAChiefComm @Jointcptraffic @BMTC_BENGALURU @OfficialBMRCL Parking Policy 2.0 by @DULTBangalore can be seen here : dult.karnataka.gov.in/assets/front/p…

Recently my mother in her mid 70s collapsed early in the morning and we rushed her to the nearest hospital. Doctors said her blood pressure had shot up to dangerous levels and advised ICU admission. In that moment I felt somewhat relieved knowing she had a health insurance policy that I had carefully chosen believing it would protect us in times like this. She was earlier covered under CARE Insurance but due to their careless renewal handling I decided to move her policy to Niva Bupa. I already had a family floater plan with them and thought it was the right step. I had declared everything honestly including her thyroid condition and her two old accident surgeries on the shoulder and elbow. After reviewing everything Niva Bupa issued the policy without asking for any medical test. To make the process smoother during emergencies I even bought it through #PolicyBazaar since they promised full Claim Assistance. I truly believed I had done everything right. But when my mother was hospitalised and the cashless claim was filed through their network hospital Niva Bupa immediately rejected it saying they would reimburse later after an investigation. The hospital had shared every required document including the pre-authorisation estimate and Policy Bazaar’s field officer had personally verified the case. Yet nothing moved. That was the moment I realised how helpless a person can feel when an insurer decides to abandon you in a crisis. I had to arrange a few lakh rupees overnight while my mother was struggling in the ICU. The mental trauma of fighting paperwork and waiting for responses while seeing your parent in pain is beyond words. If the company doubted her medical history why didn’t they conduct their own tests before issuing the policy. Why take the premium and later treat customers like suspects. We buy #HealthInsurance out of faith not to be punished for honesty. These insurance companies attract customers with lower premiums and boast about being top sellers on every #insurance portal. But when a genuine claim comes they hide behind investigations and excuses. The truth is that the moment they reject the cashless process and move it for reimbursement it is often the first step toward total denial. With no past record of elevated BP levels I know I will now be asked to produce reports which never existed and will be made to run from place to place. This is how the insurance dilemma begins. I will pay the bill because my mother’s life matters more than any claim but the sense of betrayal will stay. My sincere advice to everyone is to trust only those insurers who have proven their honesty and service for many years. Start early and never be tempted by discounts or online rankings. Avoid companies like #CAREInsurance and #NivaBupa for senior citizens because no family should go through such emotional harassment during a medical emergency. Insurance is meant to give peace of mind not heartbreak. #IRDAI @Niva_Bupa @NivaBupaSupport @policybazaar
