Bengaluru’s citizens, must be at the center. These infrastructure assets (roads, metro lines, public spaces) will be used by us daily. They can’t just be built they must be operated and maintained for sustainable, long-term outcomes. #BengaluruInfrastructure #PPPs #CitizenFirst #UrbanGovernance #SustainableCities @DKShivakumar @GBAChiefComm @PriyankKharge @TVMohandasPai @kiranshaw @TOIBengaluru @BangaloreMirror @ANI @GBA_office @Janaagraha1 @karnatakaportf

Ground reality, straight from the streets. A young citizen highlights the condition of the road from Peenya TVS Circle to Dr Rajkumar Samadhi Road. How is this stretch still neglected despite heavy traffic by @BWCCofficial Are authorities or engineers even noticing? @GBAChiefComm VC: IG/power_youth_74

While we appreciate the wide range of schemes announced in the Bengaluru Central City Corporation Budget and the clear intent to drive development on the ground, it is equally important to ensure standardization and consistency in the quality of public works. On sanitation and environment, while allocations are substantial, the focus must shift towards sustainable outcomes such as waste segregation, ecological lake restoration, and contractor accountability. Similarly, welfare initiatives must ensure last-mile delivery and measurable impact. Importantly, citizens expect governance systems to evolve with faster grievance redressal, ward-level accountability, and deeper citizen engagement beyond consultation to co-creation. As the core of the city and a gateway for global delegates and visitors to India’s IT capital, central Bengaluru must reflect world-class infrastructure, seamless execution, and high maintenance standards. Citizens are looking beyond announcements they seek visible, durable, and uniform outcomes across all wards that truly match Bengaluru’s global stature. @siddaramaiah @DKShivakumar @GBAChiefComm @BCCCofficial @GBA_office @timesofindia @BangaloreMirror

“We can’t stand in queues like the general public,” say our elected representatives. Yet it is that very public that stands in line to vote them into power, pays for the system they enjoy, and is now being told that equality ends where privilege begins. Sad is this justice! Do you agree with me?

Minister @DKShivakumar MLA’s are not our rulers. Govt runs for the citizens not MLA’s. Why are you favoring the MLA’s. When sports lovers have to pay for tickets why cannot these MLA’s? This is very very wrong. MLA’s are representatives in the House, not govt. only ministers are part of government and have executive power.

#WATCH | Bengaluru | On Karnataka Congress MLAs demanding VIP tickets for IPL matches, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar says, "The MLAs have the right because they are part of the government. I will speak to the chairman to see that our MLAs are accommodated. Let Tejasvi Surya give gyaan to his party members..."

MLA’s are public representatives and not VIP’s. They are not rulers Very shocking behaviour

“We are VIPs, We Cannot Stand in Queues: KSCA Should Give 5 Tickets to Each MLA and Minister of Karnataka,” says Congress MLA Vijayananda Kashappanavar Bengaluru Congress MLA Vijayananda Kashappanavar has strongly criticized the Karnataka State Cricket Association (#KSCA) for denying tickets to legislators and ministers for the upcoming Indian Premier League (#IPL) matches starting March 28. Speaking to reporters, Kashappanavar said that despite availing government facilities such as security, KSCA has failed to show respect to elected representatives. “They are not issuing tickets to MLAs, ministers, or their families. Instead, they are asking people to book online. We all know how online booking works,it leads to black marketing. Tickets worth ₹5,000 are being sold for ₹35,000,” he alleged. The MLA demanded that at least five tickets be allotted to each legislator along with separate seating arrangements. “We are VIPs; we cannot stand in queues. Last time, we were made to sit in the general gallery with the public. This should not happen again,” he said, adding that the issue has been raised in the Assembly and taken up with the Speaker. Kashappanavar further revealed that the Deputy Chief Minister has assured legislators of resolving the matter by arranging tickets and ensuring proper seating. On the Home Minister’s meeting with KSCA, Kashappanavar dismissed claims of effective guidelines being issued. “There are no proper guidelines. KSCA has become too powerful because IPL matches are happening. They are collecting money and enjoying it. If this continues, we will fight against it,” he warned. @INCKarnataka @BJP4Karnataka @BCCI @IPL @RCBTweets

Modern Infrastructure, Medieval Mindset: Who Ruined SMVT Station? This is the SMVT Railway Station in Bengaluru. When it was inaugurated, it was considered one of the best railway stations in India in terms of its modern design, cleanliness, and high-quality facilities. It stood as a symbol of what public infrastructure in the country could achieve when planned and executed properly. However, looking at its current condition is deeply disappointing. Garbage is scattered everywhere, maintenance appears to be neglected, and the overall environment reflects a severe lack of civic sense. This decline is not just unfortunate it is unacceptable. Authorities responsible for maintaining the station have clearly failed in their duty. Proper cleaning, waste management, and regular monitoring should be basic responsibilities, especially for a station that once set such high standards. The negligence shown here raises serious questions about accountability and long-term planning. At the same time, the public also shares responsibility. A place can only remain clean and functional if people respect it. Carelessly throwing garbage, ignoring basic hygiene, and treating public property without any regard contribute significantly to this deterioration. It reflects a troubling mindset where people expect world-class facilities but do not behave in a way that sustains them. If immediate action is not taken by both the authorities and the public, such infrastructure will continue to degrade rapidly. A station that was once a benchmark for excellence is now becoming an example of how neglect and lack of responsibility on all sides can ruin even the best developments. #bangalore #bengaluru #smvt #indianrailway @SWRRLY @BlrCityPolice @blrcitytraffic @CPBlr @Jointcptraffic @alokkumar6994 @DgpKarnataka @KarnatakaCops @Lolita_TNIE @ChristinMP_
