I just can’t get over this… Not only did Team USA hire an MLB Network studio analyst as their manager, but the same guy had absolutely no idea how the tournament works & didn’t take the game seriously & sat starters… A colossal failure by all involved

The game was so different even 14yrs ago. A lot less palming, no pushing off, straight to the basket rather dancing around and using euro steps every other possession, far less foul baiting, etc

Unto God. Unto your family. Unto the people you’re responsible for. real builders struggle with retirement. Successful coaches, Businessmen and mentors can’t sit still. 
There’s a visceral rejection of doing nothing. purpose doesn’t shut off when the game clock hits zero. Your performance on the field was always small compared to the real calling: 
• Becoming dangerous in body
• Disciplined in mind
• Anchored in faith
• Capable of providing
• Skilled enough to build a life that matters You don’t stop playing the game.
You just switch to an Eternal one. Retirement is the scam. 
You are, and always will be, an athlete.
