#NationFirst #AatmanirbharBharat #NarendraModiji #ElectricVehicle #MumbaiMayor #RituTawde #mumbaichiprathamsevika #BMC @BJP4India @BJP4Maharashtra @BJP4Mumbai @narendramodi @NitinNabin @AmitShah @Dev_Fadnavis @RaviDadaChavan @AmeetSatam @ShelarAshish @MPLodha @mybmc

9/ Third, lack of ease of doing business and approval-based frictions. Do note: the biggest defender of this Licence Raj is the hotel industry itself. It protects the incumbent industry from competition. A hotel developer in India typically invests huge time and money obtaining licenses much before even breaking ground, and in many states a hotel has to obtain ~100 licenses and approvals before it can see the light of day. Roughly 42% of hotel projects have construction tenures ranging from 43 to 144 months, averaging 57 months, with delays often caused by funding challenges, statutory requirements, licenses, permissions, and approvals. Not to mention management of local goons and mafias in some infamous states and cities. Time is capital; delays are a tax on supply. hvs.com/article/7852/i… Read this 2011 Rediff article - hardly anything has changed in 15 years! rediff.com/business/repor…

Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has directed police to shut down unauthorised bike taxi services operated by Ola, Uber and Rapido across Maharashtra, citing violations of state transport rules and lack of required permissions. He warned these services pose safety risks due to missing driver verification, insurance, and emergency systems, and demanded strict legal action under the IT Act and Motor Vehicles Act after a fatal accident in Mumbai.
