I feel like I’m going insane. Electric makes THE MOST sense in a Rolls. They’ve worked for decades to make that V12 as smooth and quiet as possible, but electric is better in every metric. How the hell is ostentatious quiet luxury losing a fake culture war???

Only in NYC, I was at gotham comedy club and Jerry Seinfeld showed up and did a set (he’s known to pop in at clubs around the city) he did a Q&A after and my favorite questions were if he could go back to his 20’s if he would change anything to which he replied “no, I just live my best life every day and i have no regrets” the other question was how he would achieve world peace (ik…) and his reply was in his typical high pitched voice “why…? why would you want that??” what a legend!

@Robert_Watkin_ @levelsio how long till "I got hacked and I'm shutting down app"? no offense bro, but there's reason why frameworks existing, mainly because stuff like auth, orms, etc are pretty complex topic with many variables and skipping it will end up bad

I'm starting a new project! 🥳 But for the first time in a long time... I will be using NO FRAMEWORK! I have had the felt for a while that the benefits of a framework have been eroded away by AI I know people like @levelsio have done this for a long time already ... but I still felt that frameworks had their place for speed/convenience AI now closes the gap as it can make a lot of boilerplate features in a matter of minutes without all of the bloat that you will likely never use Now is the time to bring back efficiency and reject bloat! Extrapolate into the future and I can see a scenario where we don't even need high level languages e.g. direct English -> Machine Code Would love to hear what others think? are you thinking of doing this? is there any reason why frameworks may still have relevancy? 🤔

car bubble gonna pop this year imo feel like its the final rotation and farthest off the regular curve into speculative risk assets theres no reason these cars should be 1m+ while half the price in EU and this is coming from a speculative supercar owner/trader

@ExitLiqCapital Those two examples specifically have MUCH higher production numbers so I completely agree there.

It’s a new phenomenon. We don’t really know yet. If we’re in the midst of a global depression I think they will correct deeper than expected. Just look at some of the high end watches from 2022. Some corrected 50% Or more from the highs. I’d bet money a 1+ million dollar Pista will trade back toward 500k in the future. Same with the SVJs, etc.

@aaronpardes @ExitLiqCapital Not yet. Reliability reputation takes a while to fix. Bullish on the low build production cars. Nothing fancy about their repairs.

Bad example imo. F1 aside McLaren’s doesn’t have nearly the collectibility of Ferrari or even Lambo special edition/limited cars. I think largely because there is uncertainty around keeping the cars running over the same period of time. What will it take to keep a 765LT or P1 on the road in 20, 30 years?

@ExitLiqCapital I’m more bullish, but you were right when you took profit last Q4. We’ll see. I don’t think something like a 765LT Spider drops below $400K this year

I wish you were correct but your simply not. Every single car I own today I would NEVER, EVER purchase at the values they are worth today. It appears the mega wealthy have woken up to car collecting being a great store of value and a cool hobby. Unfortunately it will take them 3-5 years to realize storage, insurance, maintenance is a pain in the ass. Once that happens they will start dumping .... but until then there is no stoping this.

I’ll probably never sell this place. I was 29 and had only bought investment properties up to that point. Delayed gratification of a real estate investor 🤷‍♂️ I threw out a lowball offer fully expecting the seller to reject it. He accepted. Locked in a 2.9% mortgage.
