@DadOfAubrey @Channel4 Request an internal review. Under FOIA that has to be done by an independent senior manager within 20 working days. If they don't comply, escalate to Information Commissioner's Office who can overrule them and compel release of the information.

I narrowed my FOI request to exclude editorial material and asked only about safeguarding and duty-of-care for filming vulnerable families in medical settings. @Channel4 says even those are “editorial”. A very broad view of accountability for a publicly owned broadcaster.

Enfield ✅ Been clock watching like mad on that journey. Train delayed due to waiting in passing loops and I had a fairly tight connection to a bus here! Thankfully I made it! These double decker buses are huge!

@dave_mcpartlin Don't be disheartened. To get a letter this detailed on a departmental policy issue direct from PM (rather than delegated to relevant minister) is very unusual. Officials in DEFRA will be running round like headless chickens to make sure it gets sorted so No10 stay off their back

A letter from 10 Downing Street landed on my desk today. Our children wrote to the Prime Minister about the landfill. He wrote back. First things first, well done to the kids. They got their small but mighty voices all the way to the desk of the Prime Minister. That's no small thing and we're very proud of them. But let's be honest. These are words. We need action. Last week was the worst it's ever been. Families couldn't open windows. Children walking to school with their jumpers over their faces. Staff feeling sick. It cannot go on. The letter says work to cover parts of the site and replace the gas wells is starting "very soon." Minister Creagh is meeting our MP Lorraine Beavers to discuss it further. Soon isn't soon enough. Meetings aren't fresh air. We will keep going. Keep writing. Keep shouting. Keep showing up. Until our kids can breathe properly in their own town. Well done to everyone in Fleetwood who is standing up for what is right - it should have been sorted long ago - we all deserve to breathe fresh air.

@EngFocus @DavidShirres Exactly! Keep trying to get that message across. The conventional intercity map of the WCML looks very sparse once HS2 Config State F is reached: 1x EUS-BHM-GLC/EDB, another BHM, 1x CTR/HHD...and that's it!

@DavidShirres Because that was always the intention. The vast majority of current Avanti services operated by Class 390s will be replaced by HS2 services. Therefore fewer 390s will be needed. So the "Pendolino" replacement will not be like for like and should reflect the new role of the WCML.

Class 895s are Pendolino replacements! A relatively small fleet will be needed for "classic services" North of Birmingham and I'd question if we want long distance specification or 125mph capable commuter style trains for existing WCML services south of Birmingham.

@AndyRoden1 Whatever you do, don't get a newer Citroen with a Puretech engine. I had a 2018 C3, wet belt disintegrated, £5k worth of damage. Looking online, this is a frequent occurrence with Citroen, Peugot and Vauxhall engines of that generation.

Absolutely delighted to announce that after 20 years, @WeAreOpenreach are cabled my road, and I have left @virginmedia, whose prices were shockingly high, and service at best erratic. (See @WhichUK for evidence). Hoping @VodafoneUK will be better all round.

@TheFlyingVixen I know where you're at. We suffered 3 pregnancy losses, lots of tests but no explanation. What gets you is the not knowing about the future, how it'll all work out. And with the next pregnancy being stuck with the fear that it's all going to go round again.
