@ESYudkowsky When you're talking to a startup in person, you can also tell them when to break the rules. E.g. it's usually a bad thing to be a solution in search of a problem. But I talked to a startup a few weeks ago that was one, and I told them to keep doing that.

One says the same things over and over in office hours with startups. But I don't think it would be an optimization to "fix" this. I think it's useful for them to hear these things individually, face to face. I bet most teachers would say something similar.
