Infrequent reminder that we’re actively writing $250k to $2M lead/co-lead checks and, occasionally, angel style checks into first funding rounds of founders we love. If you or your friends are considering raising, reach out.

oh also the 'many hours/day chatgpt session lengths' might seem odd now, but give it a bit. the companion part will be big here, but the music+video+hardware over the next few years should be able to complete it, things take time

Micron Technology Chief Business Officer (CBO) Sumit Sadana: The shortage in the DRAM market will deepen through 2026, and the supply-demand imbalance will remain extremely tight. According to Nikkei Asia, Sadana noted that high-bandwidth memory (HBM) used in AI applications requires about three times the wafer input compared to standard DRAM. Despite Micron allocating significant production capacity to HBM products, clear supply constraints have emerged as new fabs take a long time to become operational and costs continue to rise. Micron’s HBM sales reached approximately USD 2 billion in the second quarter of 2025 (June–August), and the company expects revenue for the third quarter of 2025 (September–November) to grow by 40–47% year over year, driven mainly by HBM demand. HBM4 sampling begins — preparation for 2026 commercialization Sadana said that HBM supply contracts are expected to be finalized within a few months ahead of 2026. Micron has already started sampling its next-generation HBM4 product, and while shipment volumes will likely remain limited in 2026, he mentioned that it offers lower power consumption than competitors’ products. Regarding the recent increase in DDR4 DRAM prices, Micron is struggling to fully meet demand due to limited production capacity. Sadana stated that while the company plans to gradually phase out DDR4 production, it will extend the production period to support key long-term customers through its U.S. fabs. However, he added that overall capacity may still fall short of market demand. $MU

Some of the best advice I can give younger folks. Get a good grasp of who you are and determine what you are good at. Build all your actions around humility and emotional intelligence, since so many people are ready to pounce all over you for any given reason.

New installation MEP (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is massively more difficult than retail repair/service. But those who are able to crack the code are going to see outsized returns, especially as data center buildouts proliferate. @kelso_ind

This is one of my favorite events of the year for business owners! I’ll be giving a talk called “How to Get Acquired by a Strategic” It’s pretty wild such a nerdy topic puts me on the same speaker card as Tim Tebow, but that’s the type of place Main Street Summit is.
Brent Beshore@BrentBeshore

We’re about a month out from @MainStSummit. Here’s a guide I put together. When: Nov. 4-6 Where: Columbia, MO Who: 1000+ SMB owners, operators, investors What: 2.5 day festival, 120+ speakers, 16 venues Why: To bring together the SMB community GA passes start at $250. That gets you access to the main stage, held at the historic Missouri Theater. If you’re interested in small group Sessions snag the Classic Pass ($1,325), which covers everything off-main stage. Most of the speakers hang out at The Atrium and do small talks there, which is built out to be like the highest-end airport lounge you can imagine. Stocked with an absurd amount of snacks and drinks and places to meet and chat. Flagship Pass ($3,675) gets you in, plus invite-only events and quite a few meals. Heads up, as of this morning, there are only 5 Flagship passes left to purchase. There are also 7 tracks: Health, Faith + Work, Non-Profit, Construction, Venture, Manufacturing, and Franchise. Tickets to these tracks are $750, which gets you all the small group Sessions in that track, plus the main stage. *Note, a Classic Pass gets you access to all the tracks…literally all the content, except for the invite-only events within the Atrium and at night. My advice is to match your ticket with your goals. GA: If you’re just starting out and want to meet a variety of people, snag a GA ticket and get in the mix. Classic: If you work or invest in the SMB space and want to get to know people, get a Classic Pass. Flagship: If you want the red carpet treatment, to spend quality time with speakers, and have a lot going on every night, get the Flagship Pass. The graphic below are the speakers. Above the line are who you can expect to see on the main stage. Feel free to ask any questions I may have missed. Hope to see you there!
