SBI ने सिर्फ ₹12 का प्रीमियम काटना भूल गया... और पति को 2 लाख रुपये का बीमा देने से मना कर दिया उत्तराखंड की कविता देवी की मौत हो गई। उनके पति गोविंद सिंह बीमा क्लेम करने गए। SBI ने क्लेम outright रिजेक्ट कर दिया। कारण इतना था कि सिर्फ ₹12 का प्रीमियम नहीं कटा था। खाते में पैसे थे, फिर भी बैंक की लापरवाही से नहीं कटा। पति उपभोक्ता आयोग गया। आयोग ने फिर SBI को खूब फटकार लगाई और बड़ा फैसला सुनाते हुए कहा कि तुरंत 2 लाख रुपये पति को दो 6% ब्याज भी दो अदालती खर्च भी दो बैंक अब अपनी गलती का बोझ ग्राहक पर नहीं डाल पाएगा अगर जागरूक हैं तो।

@kapsology Bank ke kam Digtally karna aana chaiye to bank jane ki jarurat hi nhi hai. Bas tumhe digitally sikhna padega. Yha X par gyan dene ki bajay kuch jano ki kon-kon se kam ho digitally ho jate hai. Par kya hai na ki tum jese log khud se kam hi nhi karn chate ho..

Banks should work only 5 days a week, so if you have just 10 minutes of work at a government bank, you can happily take a full day leave/half day from your job on weekdays! Totally makes sense!

@ErATULDESAI SBI's mobile banking app YONO is better than HDFC bank's mobile banking app..and the staff is also more talented than HDFC. Because you are not the one who clears SBI PO exam and that staff has come after clearing that exam.

@manoj_216 I fail to understand why people visit bank? I just use netbanking facilities of HDFC bank and I haven't visited the bank since last 5 years... Yes had it been SBI.. I would prefer commit suicide - SBI is HORRIBLE...

Yesterday, I took my dad, who is 92 now, to Bank of India. The passbook update machine was not working. It seemed permanently stopped (not even powered on). There was a long queue for passbook updates on another counter. When my number came, the madam at the counter got up and went out for some other work. She came back after 15 minutes. The printer got stuck during my passbook update. She called some technician. It took a total of 25 minutes to finally get the passbook printed. Don't even talk about the quality of print. It's a dot matrix printed passbook, and my dad surely won't be able to read it. Luckily, all this while, my dad got a seat considering his age, but most people (aka customers) were standing - some for KYC updates, some for FD renewals and some for withdrawing money. These nationalized banks are highly understaffed and overworked, with no facilities or funds to keep up with training and technology. While going back home, we were delighted with the fact that our passbook was printed successfully. I asked my dad as to why does he have accounts with such banks. His answer was flat, "Don't want to change at this age. But they were not that bad earlier."
