The Trump admin forced a firefighter paramedic with DACA to resign from his job (and risk deportation) because they didn't process his renewal application, even though he filed FIVE MONTHS before his status was set to expire.

@SouthernMB82 @SweetInLaLaLand This kind of thinking has real consequences! The U.S. already has many skilled jobs it can’t fill. Immigrants help fill those gaps; especially in science, medicine, and tech. Without them, the country wouldn’t be where it is today.

We are a sovereign nation, @SweetInLaLaLand. We have a right to block all immigration if necessary. Americans never voted to have their communities flooded with foreigners. You don’t positively contribute to the U.S. in any way that makes our lives better. You dilute our heritage and culture with foreign practices. You are not Christian, nor do you uphold values founded on Christian principles. You make the cost of housing rise while lowering wages with your presence. In short, you make America less American while making it more expensive. Americans have not benefitted from mass immigration. Our government’s concern should solely be on whether immigration improves American lives, not yours or any others. You have no inherit right to be here. We don’t want you here. Return to your homeland.

A useful way to think about migration is to consider what kind of societies the migrants have built in their home countries and to what extent you would like those conditions replicated here.

I support President Trump’s desire to end the conflict with Iran through diplomacy and negotiations. I have every confidence that President Trump will not allow Iran to be enriched by tens of billions of dollars for holding the world hostage and creating mayhem in the region. Any sanctions relief has to be earned by a complete and total acceptance by Iran of President Trump’s reasonable demands which are: - No interference with the Strait of Hormuz now or in the future. - Turning over the approximately 900 pounds of highly enriched uranium to the U.S. and other groups, fully removing it from Iran. - No enrichment, period. If Iran wants a peaceful nuclear power program, they should be offered a 1-2-3 agreement like the UAE. Iran has no right to enrich because of their cheating behavior and their terrorist ways. - Complete and total cessation of supporting terrorists and terrorist organizations throughout the region. - Agreement to limit Iran’s missile and drone program. Again, these demands are reasonable. They would lead to lasting stability and would warrant some relief. Until they are met, continue the blockade and be ready to go back to the fight. Anything short of this would be infusing cash into the current regime who are just as radical as those who came before them. The only thing that has changed is their names - their goals are the same. No JCPOAs on President Trump’s watch.

The Trump administration has cut LEGAL immigration 2.5x as much as undocumented immigration, which had already fallen before Trump took office. We need to do everything we can to provide a glimmer of hope and protect the communities that are at risk right now.

We have both a legal and illegal immigration problem. First, Global elites shipped blue-collar jobs overseas while importing millions of illegal aliens. Now, those same elites are going after white-collar jobs by bringing in cheaper foreign labor through the OPT and H-1B programs.

Removing TPS status for Haitians living in the United States would cost 350,000 workers their ability to work at a time when we’re already facing serious workforce shortages. I’ve heard from healthcare providers and business leaders across Nebraska, including @OmahaChamber, who are concerned about the impact this would have on patient care and our economy. I don’t see the goodness of deporting people who are here legally, working, and contributing to our country.
