In Arizona, long-term planning and investment in a reliable energy system are helping keep power more affordable and more predictable. This approach supports business growth, attracts new investment, and helps keep Arizona’s economy strong as energy demand continues to rise.

And yet several Missouri state senators are preparing to filibuster a proposal to bring fully autonomous vehicles to St. Louis if they can’t cut a deal to kill it outright, keeping new investment and additional safety and accessibility out of the city. #moleg

Hello and I appreciate the the passion, but a few facts worth noting: ⚡️Modern pipelines operate under strict @EPA methane regulations with continuous leak detection — today’s infrastructure emits a fraction of what older systems did. ⚡️compressor stations? They’re among the most regulated industrial facilities in the country, subject to both federal and state air quality standards. The choice here isn’t clean energy vs. this pipeline — it’s this pipeline vs. a reliable grid. Natural gas is the reliable baseload that makes renewables work when the sun sets. Want more solar? You need dependable backup. That’s not greed — that’s physics. “Dirty energy” is a great hashtag, but it’s not a policy. Natural gas emits half the CO2 of coal — it’s literally why U.S. emissions have dropped 65% in the power sector since 2005. Arizona already gets ~43% of its power from clean or carbon-free sources including nuclear and solar. Also, can’t ignore the irony in your swipe at #datacenters — they’re not just jobs and tax base. They’re the invisible infrastructure that powers your hospital records, your bank, your kid’s classroom. And a large cohort of the companies building them have committed to clean energy generation and are among the biggest funders of renewables in the country. They’re not the villain. They’re the backbone of modern life — and they chose Arizona (which is better than a foreign country) #naturalgas

More methane gas #airpollution coming soon to a community near you along with loud, polluting compressor stations (most likely in rural areas). Yay! #Arizona #methanegas #sunshine #greed #datacenters #dirtyenergy

Online gambling is the silent epidemic. You will probably know if someone close to you has a drinking or a drug problem. You will see the effects. But people can end up in dire straits with an online gambling addiction without any visible warning signs. via NYT

Maricopa County School Superintendent Shelli Boggs
🎉 Superintendent Shelli Boggs extends her deepest gratitude to Senator Hildy Angius for championing Arizona Senate Bill 1166, signed into law on April 7, 2026! 📚 What does this mean for our community? Thanks to SB 1166, county accommodation schools can now officially offer High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation instruction to 11th and 12th grade students. This means students who may not be on a traditional diploma track now have a clear, supported pathway to earn their Arizona High School Equivalency Diploma — right through their county accommodation school. This law opens doors for some of our most at-risk and non-traditional learners, giving them the tools and instruction they need to cross the finish line and earn a credential that can unlock jobs, college, and a brighter future. Thank you, Senator Angius, for believing in every student's potential and for making this a reality. 🙏 @SenatorAngius #SB1166 #CountyAccommodationSchools #HighSchoolEquivalency #StudentSuccess

BREAKING: California doesn't have enough money to finish building a high speed rail system to connect San Francisco and Los Angeles and now they want $125 BILLION MORE! "The entire amount of money we need is not there..." And now they want more money than Amtrak has EVER received in their history. CBS notes: "That’s more funding than Amtrak has received in its history, and still leaves a shortfall of roughly $90 billion." INSANE.

Former AZ Gov. @DougDucey in @FoxNews: “Political stereotypes would have us believe that blue states are responsible for most renewable energy. But red states — guided by leaders who believe in capitalism and the free market — understand that investing in solar, wind, and battery storage is just as smart as supporting oil and natural gas.” Conservatives are letting the free market lead and delivering clean energy, including #solar power, for their states. @SecretaryWright @SecretaryBurgum @HowardLutnick @realDonaldTrump foxnews.com/opinion/red-st…

⚡ Our energy future is often framed as an "either/or" choice between sources of utility-scale energy. Andy Tobin makes a market-based case for an an "all-of-the-above" strategy—more nuclear, more natural gas, and more renewables. chamberbusinessnews.com/2026/03/23/mar…

I worked closely with Alix during my time on Governor Ducey’s team. She was an outstanding colleague, a dedicated public servant, and a champion for rural Arizona. She will be an excellent director. Congratulations, Alix!
