Claims about 'secret schools' in Afghanistan raise serious questions. Respect the laws and sovereignty of the country, its future must be determined by its own people. Some stories seem exaggerated, especially since private education still exists in various forms. It is also legitimate to question how often Afghan women and girls are used to justify funding and external projects. Transparency is important, and external actors must avoid distorting reality or interfering in Afghanistan's internal affairs.

Today marks the start of a new school year in Afghanistan. For the fifth year in a row, girls are still banned from secondary education. Speaking at the Belgian Senate, I said this clearly: Over 1,600 days. Millions of girls erased from classrooms. This is not culture. This is not Islam. This is the systematic destruction of a generation. While girls are locked out of schools, indoctrination is being built in their place teaching extremism instead of knowledge, conflict instead of critical thinking. Let’s be clear: underground efforts are acts of resistance, not a solution, and cannot replace a national education system. The solution is simple:

Mixed-sex changing rooms are a predator’s paradise. Our FOI investigations revealed that in one year there were 16 rapes, 80 sexual assaults and 65 acts of voyeurism across 257 leisure centres in England and Wales. We have data from Northern Ireland (just in) that reveals more than 80% of sexual crimes perpetrated in changing rooms occur in mixed-sex facilities. This confirms previous research that shows mixed-sex changing is a crime scene waiting to happen. This is a national scandal. Sport England has doggedly stuck to its ‘moving to inclusion’ mantra even though time and again this has proved to be ‘moving to inclusion of sexual predators’. The current guidance dates back to 2013 and is widely used by Councils and architects to justify building mixed-sex changing rooms for swimmers. Ideally, the new guidance would scrap the edict that mixed-sex is the preferred option for new pools (note to Sport England: preferred by predators not women). The NYT reported about how a male serial murderer of women was allowed into a women’s shelter in NYC despite the terror of the women forced to be confined with him. He went on to behead and dismember yet another woman weeks later. He is back in a women’s prison. The people working relentlessly to inflict male murderers and rapists onto women locked in prisons and shelters are zealots who think they are the best people in the world at the vanguard of humanity as they inflict danger and humiliation onto vulnerable women. They are carrying out the will of center-Left political parties across the Western world. There has never been a cult this deranged with this much power in the post-Enlightenment world.
