@CBSNews Why is the camera just static to one angle and why are none of them showing us spacial images or videos. Something is off with this mission, I just can’t prove it.

@CBSNews To be honest - if you skip 10 days at the gym your body doesn't just disappear. These people are supposed to be the best of the best, they train years for this type of stuff. Yet waste space for a "gym"? FFS! Give it a rest!

@real_122109 @reesetheone1 Ah yes, because yet another GOP tax cut for corporations and the wealthy will stop the record transfer of wealth to the elite and reduce the national debt. The GOP doesn't give a shit about the working class, the middle class, or the deficit. It's all just lip service.

@reesetheone1 we just had record inflation and the biggest transfer of wealth to the elites in the history of the country during covid under Biden. you're very delusional if you think voting democrat will solve anything.

@JeffreyLuscombe Because it'll take a decent amount of public funding to build, and the only thing conservatives like spending money on is farm subsidies, police/military, ICE, and social security. That's pretty much it.

@JetSetGent @atrupar It's funny because if there actually was as much fraud as you seem to believe, Heritage would ABSOLUTELY be reporting that NONSTOP. But no, all they can find is just a few hundred cases…

Q: On the SAVE America Act, voter fraud is incredibly rare. According to Heritage, there have only been a few hundred cases of fraud out of hundreds of millions of votes. So is it worth it to risk millions of Americans from voting? LEAVITT: No need to boo. It's an honest question. First of all, I have not seen the data you provided. But why are you okay with any voter fraud?

Victor Glover (pilot of Artemis II) was already a spacecraft pilot for SpaceX Crew-1. He is a naval captain who has had his naval aviator wings for 25 years. He has three (3) masters degrees, including in flight test engineering and systems engineering. He's been a test pilot since 2007. He has thousands of flight hours.

@MaxQHellcat The cameras are probably decent, but given the limited data transfer rate in deep space, they aren't about to prioritize livestream video quality over mission critical comms or systems monitoring.

@AlexanderPayton Trump *has* been abysmal on foreign policy. The Artemis accords are an exception to his dismal performance, not the rule.

An under-discussed aspect of the Artemis program is the strategy of offering international partners the chance to participate in the Artemis Moon missions in exchange for signing the Artemis Accords. The U.S. leverages its unique ability to send foreign astronauts to the Moon to promote a treaty that opens up the Moon, Mars, and Belt to private property rights, freedom of contract, and industrialization. It’s the most ambitious project in international space law since 1967, and the first to explicitly open it up for capitalism. More than 60 nations, including every spacefaring power but Russia and China, have signed. Anyone who still thinks Trump has been bad on diplomacy needs to pay attention. This is potentially the greatest triumph of American foreign policy since the Panama Canal.

The Royal Family@RoyalFamily

Marking the launch of @NASA's Artemis II mission to the moon, The King has written to mission specialist, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Colonel Jeremy Hansen - the first Canadian to travel on a moon mission - commending his leadership and vision. The first rocket to go around the moon in more than 50 years, Artemis II will be NASA’s first mission with crew aboard the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft. As global space activity, exploration, and the space economy rapidly expand, His Majesty recognises the importance of stewardship and responsible governance to protect the infinite wonders of the universe. Head to Royal.uk to read the message in full.

@MalwareJake Words cannot express how much I loathe the policies of the current administration, but if you "snapped" at an agent who was just trying to check your ID at an airport, what sort of response were you expecting, exactly?

ICE was checking IDs at the Atlanta airport today. The.guy said "your DL photo is super light, so facial recognition might not work." I snapped back "that's so you know not to illegally deport me." His buddy said "we can find a reason" and NOTHING could be more on-brand for an encounter with ICE.

My read on this is Trump is done with this war. He never intended for there to be boots on the ground. So the choice is now simple for Iran — open the strait and agree to no nuclear weapons or the US will destroy all their oil/energy and just leave, which will be so economically devastating for Iran it will probably be the end of the Islamic regime anyway.

This isn’t a “tribute.” It’s Iran signaling controlled de-escalation while keeping the chokepoint as leverage. Trump calls 20 tankers a gift. Reality: Strait of Hormuz normally carries ~20 million barrels daily — 20-25% of global seaborne oil. Even 20 extra ships is symbolic theater, especially if many are Pakistani-flagged. Most miss this: Tehran is buying breathing room in backchannel talks without losing face or full control. Gulf exporters and Asian buyers (China takes ~38%) feel the pressure most. Bigger game: Who really benefits from selective reopening — and what price comes next? Power moves rarely look like gifts.
