@lowcarbGP @DoctorTro @SBakerMD @drjasonfung @bigfatsurprise @LauraBuchananMD @lowcarb_aus @drchatterjeeuk CGMs are such brilliant feedback tools - effective gamification of heallthy eating. Love your work.

Our paper showing a low carb approach plus CGM can EQUAL the weight achieved by GLP-1 weight loss injections at one year 🥳Think about that
Here it is frontiersin.org/journals/nutri…

@paulbristow79 @NatWest_Help I was sitting at a friend's house the other day while she was on the phone trying to get into online banking to distribute her late mother's estate following grant of probate. Unbelievable listening to the incomeptence.
English

Absolutely disgusting service from @NatWest_Help today! They stop me transferring money for “fraud protection purposes” while I am out shopping with my daughter.
And then tell me it will be a 28 minutes wait on hold to try and sort it out. Just ruining our day.
English

@OooYouPeeMeOff @Tesco So you bought in date milk and you're complaining because it went out of date before you got round to using it? Not Tesco's problem!
English

Bad show from @Tesco Cheadle.
Bought a small milk on Tuesday 17th amd only noticed after I'd used this morning that it went out of date on the 18th!
Rubbish

@WestminsterWAG Shrove Tuesday is so commercial now - there are eggs and flour in the shops all year round now.
English

Also happy Shrove Tuesday, in case you forgot that there are also still a few Christians living in London…

Gary Brecka drops a bombshell: The diabetes industry is $110 billion a year. Think Big Pharma is rushing to cure it?
He says if you wanted a diet to guarantee type 2 diabetes, just follow the American Diabetes Association guidelines.
Their recommended breakfast for type 2 diabetics?
- Glass of orange juice
- Oatmeal with brown sugar & honey
- Yogurt with fruit on bottom
→ 44 grams of sugar first thing in the morning.
"That's an insulin dependency diet," he calls it.
This 44-sec clip is a wake-up on how standard advice might keep people hooked on meds.
Do you follow ADA recs or do your own thing for blood sugar? What's your go-to breakfast to stay stable?

@Helen_Barnard @BBCiPlayer Er, if you watch live TV you'll see loads of trailers that you can't skip, so this is an improvement for you! It took you longer to write your tweet than multiple skip trailer clicks 😀
English

Why isn’t there a setting on @BBCiPlayer that lets you say that you never ever want to see a trailer?
We literally pay the license fee so we don’t have to watch adverts. So stop showing adverts before Every Single programme?
Yes I can press skip it, but why should I have to?

@TalulasMummy @lowcarbGP @parthaskar @rcgp @DoctorTro @lowcarb_aus @drtom_butler @DiabetesUK @drjasonfung @timspector What do you mean "refuse to take you off meds (statin)". It's up to you whether you take it surely?
English

@lowcarbGP @parthaskar @rcgp @DoctorTro @lowcarb_aus @drtom_butler @DiabetesUK @drjasonfung @timspector Wished our gp would do this. They are even refusing to take me off meds a year later, just side shifting to a different statin! I’ve done the work for a year, proved it works, and now lack motivation! 😢
English

How long can it take to achieve drug free T2 Diabetes remission? In this case 8 weeks We supplied a continuous glucose monitor instead of drugs and now drugs are not needed. At the moment this is quite against our diabetes guidelines This patient really wonders why ? @parthaskar

English

@BearGrylls Yes, that's exactly why brainstorming sessions are useless.
English

@brookhouse @gilescoren I like dining in places like La Gavroche or the Ivy but sometimes a good cafe or P&M is preferable, can't beat afternoon tea at the Ritz though.
English

@lowcarbGP @marksandspencer I've been wanting to try mayo for some time but every time I see the ingredients of the big name and supermarket brands I've given it a miss. Will definitely try this.
English

WELL DONE @marksandspencer You have understood the brief with respect to ingredients perfectly AND it’s really tasty 😋 HURRAH 🥳

English

@marktheman2010 @gilescoren Yea, I don't like eating at places where you have to have some toast or a bowl of cereal to fill up when you get home.
English

@gilescoren I have eaten in many Michelin-starred joints, I have to say I prefer cafes like this.
English

@VictoriaCoren Some would say he's being pedantic, but I don't think that's the right word. 😉
English

@sainsburys You promised me you’d sort this problem with red cords being tied up but yet again you’ve failed. Putting your disabled customers in great danger. When will you take this issue seriously?

English

@monstroso @TheSimonEvans I find “utilise” similarly unnecessary and pretentious when “use” will do.
English

@MichaelLCrick It's the difference between Channel 4 News and GB News 😀
English

@MichaelLCrick Depending on your TV and/or streaming device you should be able to change the size and colour of the subtitles (and even position on the screen). Not sure you can do much about duration though.
English

@VictoriaCoren Old Testament God would have given the mugger a bit of smite-therapy 😄
English

Like many people, I was impressed and excited by the story of the bus driver who chased a mugger, punched him in the face, knocked him down and sat on him for half an hour waiting for the police. But I would say that this analysis, by Boris Johnson, is a bit of a stretch. #WWJD
