The SBC has a much deeper problem than just women pastors. It doesn’t even understand preaching (as a whole, not every SBC pastor. I know several GREAT preachers). By and large it’s traded models like Spurgeon, DMLJ, Broadus, for plagiarism and props.

@MichaelDCabell @Delta We flew @american. We had 4 gate changes in Dallas, they put the fuel in the wrong tank??? That caused an hour and a half delay. Now we are sitting on the runway at Charlotte. We’ve been sitting here for over 30 minutes because there are no available gates. The airlines are nuts.

We have been @IMB_SBC M's now 35 plus years: 2 years from today the Lord willing we will go back to the US for our final furlough I will be nearly 70 my wife nearly 78 we plan to serve and retire almost 38 years. Thank you SB'S for keeping us on the field all these years.

I’m in Mercy Hospital. Came in through ER by ambulance at 3am due to a severe seizure (epilepsy?). Long day: MRI, EEG, other tests, meds, etc. No driving for six months. Ouch. I may come home tomorrow. I’m at total peace. Jesus is our strength. Amen. Please pray for Ruth and me.

I love preachers. But preachers fall sometimes and sometimes they fall hard. When you hear of a preacher resigning due to moral failure, we should do several things.. 1. Pray for them specifically. 2. Pray for their family and the family of all involved. 3. Remind yourself that Pastors and ministry leaders are merely men. 4. Don’t put your confidence in your spiritual leaders. 5. Don’t lump all pastors and spiritual leaders together as if they all are unfaithful. 6. Turn to the Scriptures and see the men God used in the Bible. Many had obvious flaws. 7. Failure is not Final. 8. Keep looking to Christ. 9. Don’t put your Pastor on a pedestal but rather put him on a prayer list. He needs it! 10. The closer we get to the coming on the Lord, the more we will see this sort of thing. Stay true to God’s Word.
