Expand facilities for cruise travelers. Build fast connections to Hobby and Bush airports. Construct new hurricane-resilient condos, apartments, and hotels using concrete. Keep the sand rejuvenated and clean.

What if the massive 1900 hurricane didn't hit Galveston? It may have grown to be as significant as New Orleans, or even the Manhattan of the Gulf.
