@samuel_spitz You should be happy for friends who won the lotto. It's also great to not live in SF anymore where all anyone talks about is net worth or career..

Been working w/ Profound on GTM, Ops, and Forward deployed engineering roles for the past 3 months or so Maybe the most impressive team I have met Unicorn status in less than a year and a half Pretty crazy stuff If you want in, you pretty much have to be top 1% of what you do, be willing to work 5-6 days a week in office , live in NYC, and be bought in to what they are solving This is what happens when your PMF is a 100/100 Unreal growth

Today, @tryprofound is excited to announce our $96M Series C at a $1B valuation, led by @lightspeedvp with participation from @sequoia, @kleinerperkins, @mattevantic, @saga_ventures and @southpkcommons. When we started Profound 18 months ago, we had two fundamental beliefs about where marketing is heading: 1. Every company will care deeply about how AI talks about their brand. 2. Every marketer will use AI Agents to do their best work, faster. Those beliefs are becoming reality faster than we imagined. Now, we serve more than 10% of the Fortune 500 and are the number 1 leader on the G2 grid for AEO. To double down on that momentum, we’re taking two big swings: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: AI workers that take marketing teams from concept to execution. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: certifications and cohort-based learning for marketers who want stay at the forefront of AI marketing. Reply with 𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 for free access to one of our most popular agents. No account required and no strings attached.

Highest SDR comp I've seen to date Just partnered w/ a Series A company out in NYC $120k base, $200k OTE They operate in the infra / DevOps space Don't think i've seen higher comp for SDRs They are essentially looking for a young sdr w/ a year of experience, major bonus if their experience is at a techncial company Companies like this always look for experience/slope over everything Good school is typically a big plus Anyways, i'm off to go make a SDR's day

the amount of gifts you receive just by working at a Fortune 500 company is insane you have no idea how intense the competition is. some companies are spending millions on sales gifts to close enterprise customers: 1) Salesloft AE sent a LEGO set after seeing a Star Wars poster in a prospect's Zoom background (Closed a $250k deal) 2) Chili Piper sent an automated $5 coffee voucher 1 hour before a demo with the note: "Coffee is on us for the call" (Increased meeting show rates by 33%) 3) another company sent Pizza to a prospect’s Technical Support department after solving a recent outage to get a demo with an IT Director who was ignoring them (Director called back in 20 mins) 3) Gong sent Pink Unicorn Piñatas to Fortune 500 CFOs with a note: "Sales is like a piñata - the value is hidden inside" (Influenced $33M in pipeline) 4) another one automated Champagne delivery the moment a past "Champion" (someone who used their tool at a previous job) starts a new role at a target account 6) SDRs research a prospect's Alma Mater (College) and send a custom mug with their college logo and a gift card for a "Sunday Lunch" 7) SentinelOne sent "James Bond" Aston Martin LEGO sets to Cybersecurity C-levels because they are official F1 partners and targeted Gen X nostalgia (38.7x ROI) 8) another Company sent custom View-Masters (the 90s toy) with slides showing the prospect’s current "broken" workflow vs. the "fixed" version 9) AEs send Live Bamboo Plants to prospects with a note: "Looking forward to watching our partnership grow" (Stays on the desk for months as a permanent ad) 10) Terminus sends "Backyard Fire Pit" kits to high-value prospects to "warm up" cold accounts during the winter months (Resulted in a 7-figure pipeline)

My take on California’s “One-Time” Billionaire Tax. It’s much worse than it looks. 📉 Will it pass? Yes, likely. It only needs 50%+1 voter approval. SEIU + CTA have done this before—Prop 55 won 63% in 2016. ⚖️ Will it get tied up in litigation? Almost certainly. Retroactive wealth tax on a tax type CA has never had = due process challenges. Billionaires have the legal budgets for years of fights. 👋 But it’s clearly … only the start. The goal is an annual tax, not one-time. And the target is $25m-50m net worth folks, including illiquid foldings (early stage founders raising a Series B). The “one-time” framing is strategic, not terminal. The same coalition (CTA, CFT, SEIU) already has AB 259 written—an >annual< 1% wealth tax at a >$50M threshold<, with plans to go to $25M. It’s been introduced 3 years running. The one-time tax removes the constitutional barrier. Once that’s gone, the annual version becomes a much easier ballot measure. 🔃 CA Policy Center said: “If SEIU hopes to keep Medi-Cal spending growing, it may need to place repeated wealth taxes on the ballot—potentially lowering the threshold as billionaires flee.” The real risk for founders: At $1B, you’re taxing ~200 people. At $50M, you’re taxing 23,000 households—including most successful founders on paper before any liquidity event. The rational move isn’t to leave when you hit the threshold. It’s to leave—or never incorporate in CA—before you get anywhere close. ✈️ Net net: it will make sense to leave before the Series B. Vinod Khosla nailed it: “Even people who don’t expect this initiative to pass are still planning to leave because there will be another one.” The one-time tax is the constitutional Trojan horse. The annual tax — at a much lower threshold — is already waiting inside.
