If that multifamily guy with the beard getting skewered online got a clean shave, bought a Patagonia vest, and 20x’d the amount of capital he lost, consultants would recommend a nine figure allocation in his next fund to their pension and endowment clients

I can’t believe you can just buy a house and then have someone else pay the mortgage.

I just got flipped off by a pedestrian while driving my cyber truck in SLC. Which brings up the obvious question here: Do you flip off with just the bird finger up or do you extend the thumb as well?

A 23-year-old couple is on track to retire within 15 years by following the FIRE playbook. They keep expenses extremely low and invest nearly all of their excess income into index funds every month. They’ve already invested $137,000.

First 2 people from X that do a project with us, we will do your entire decorative lighting package AT OUR COST. If I can’t save you at least 50% for nicer fixtures, I’ll let @Dirtdog punch me in the face LIVE on camera.
Zach Molzer@molzer

Custom mirrors going in the Aladdin are done! Want something like this for your project? My DMs are open. On top of developing in KC, my business partner & I also own a lighting procurement company; direct to manufacturer. Anything you can dream, we can do, at your price!

Was just with a friend - he is an "AI integrator" for a $100mm contractor (basically building AI tools for the company) He said "the future of the trades is a single person with NO back office doing $25mm a year from a cell phone and AI agents" Big bet if true.

When I first started thinking about software for pay app review in 2019, I reached out to a handful of friends in software for help. Most of them couldn't take it on at the time, so I went a different direction, had it built overseas, and used it internally for years. Last year, when AI made it possible to build the version of The BigACR I wanted to put in front of outside teams, I reached back out to one of those friends. Someone I've known for 25+ years and would trust with my company and my reputation. His kid was older, his schedule had some room, and he said yes. He doesn't have a real estate background, which I think makes it more meaningful that he believes in what we're doing. He's looking at it from the software side, on the merits of what we built and how we built it, and he's in. After 25 years of knowing each other, working together on this means something. There's a version of this story where I could have hired a stranger off LinkedIn or contracted a dev shop. I didn't. Who builds the thing matters, especially when the thing has to be trusted by people with real money on the line. The waitlist will be open through the week. Let's get those buildings built!

Kyle Bradish called the Rays a "complete team." "They’re patient. They make you come in the zone. And unlike a lot of teams, they’re fine taking a single the other way. They’re not all trying to do damage. But when you leave a pitch in the middle of the plate ... they’re on it."

I’d like to say from what I’ve seen and what my org offers, AI is not fully trustworthy when it comes to doing takeoffs right now. It’s great at reading through plans and recognizing text, understanding scope, but as soon as it comes to doing counts on a planset it starts to get confused and is inaccurate. Just my 2 cents

@contractorkeith Love this. Similar to one I heard growing up “you don’t deserve anything in life, you may earn it but that doesn’t mean you deserve it”

"The world owes you nothing, son. You have to go out there and get it." ~ Dad I'm GenX, Dad's a Boomer, but maybe I am out of touch too? In my first apartment, I had 3 roommates, it was an efficiency 1br (means it had a room with a bed, but there was no door). No cable, no dishwasher, no internet, no cell phones, no washer and dryer. I made $6/hr framing houses. Coffee came from a drip machine on the counter every morning at 6am on the way out the door, no cream or sugar let alone soy or oat milk. Ate bologna sandwiches and saltines for lunch (the kind you peel the red plastic off of the bologna). Fridays we'd splurge and get 2/$1 hot dogs at the Circle K and load them with all the free fixin's. Ramen for dinner, sometimes a can of green beans, but not together. The three of us pooled our money together on payday for a bag of stems and seeds and an $8 case of Old Milwaukee's Best. We were happier than pigs in sh*t. Eventually, 1 by 1, we got ambition and steady girlfriends who turned into wives, moved out and got our own homes. All 3 of us ended up going into business for ourselves later in life. None of us graduated high school. Is it harder today? Or are we just spoiled and have expectations that the world owes us something we haven't earned just by existing?

A Chipotle burrito costs $15. Ground beef is $7 a pound. Inflation is financially crippling Gen Z. Once again, an out-of-touch rich boomer is lecturing young people.

Every guy should own a few buildings like this before 2030. Buying one is 10x less scary than approaching your gym crush, I promise. Future you will thank you. Don't get left behind. NFA, not this EXACT one and doesn't have to be Ohio

Trigger Warning: Cameron Hanes is using banned substances. Shocker. A 58 year old male is running college age professional running times He is a cheater There are many other middle aged men doing the same. Injecting themselves with TRT, Peptides and more... all for what? To chase glory from college? You are all cheaters My Saturday group ride, dudes are 50+ pushing 400 watts for an hour ripping the legs off 18 year old cat 1 racers, TRT doping Call it what it is, its cheating You feel better, great You perform better, great You look better, great But dont call yourself a competitor or be proud of your athletic accomplishments, you are just a cheater. I bet you are the same losers who want to ban trans males from women's sports (which I 100% agree with) Cheating is cheating TRT and Banned peptides is cheating - end of story So feel good running that 2:39 marathon at 58 years old Cameron (and many others) but you cheated to get there. Unfortunately part of getting older is training smarter, reducing volume, focusing on recovery. It's life, it's part of aging and getting wiser. You can take the short cuts, you do you, just dont compete while doing it.
