Zimbabwean citizens need to know that it took only five years for the Rhodesian government to construct Africa’s largest inland man-made dam in 1955 which continue to be a major source of electricity generation and a major tourism hub 80 years later. It took @ZanuPF 16 years plus a flooding disaster in 2014 to complete the construction of Tokwe Mukosi dam whose planning was done by the Rhodesian before 1980 only for them to begin construction in 1998. This is despite the fact that from 1985 @ZANUPF_Official made annual budgetary allocation toward the dam construction but was eventually finished by an Italian Engineering company which was paid USD250million from a new funding by RBZ. Money was stolen. To date Tokwe Mukosi does not generate electricity despite a further USD7 million allocation for a 15 megawatt plant. 56 years later. Zambezi Water Project which was planned before independence together with Gwayi Shangaani dam only commenced in 2004 and is incomplete to date despite a USD600 million allocation. Matebeleland is still battling water problems 56 years after independence. @edmnangagwa made a further allocation of USD25 million in 2026 and still the project is incomplete. Though planned in 1990, Kunzvi Dam construction only began in 2021. It was allocated USD259 million by RBZ but work did not commence. The work was re-tendered and got handed over to the Chinese for USD109 million on Build and Operate Basis in 2022. To date Kunzvi Dam construction is not yet complete. We can talk of many other projects but the bottom line is @ZANUPF_Official never start something they can finish. They only take over, renovate and rename!! 1. He IS corrupt. They all were, and still are. He was arrested after returning to Zimbabwe in hopes of rejoining ZANU. 2. He fell victim to the malicious machinery that HE helped to build. I have no sympathy for oppressors. Zimbabweans are too forgiving. 🙄 There are plenty of innocent people languishing in ZANU prisons, simply for wanting a better country. Yet we spend our energy WEEPING on behalf of someone who was an instrumental part of Mugabe's oppressive regime, and would STILL be there now had he not lost a factional battle. 🤷🏾‍♂️ #StockholmSyndrome

Zimbabwean citizens need to know that @ZANUPF_Official inherited 11,4 tonnes of gold reserves in Reserve Bank @ReserveBankZIM and USD116 million worth of gold coins stashed in South Africa from Ian Smith Rhodesian government in 1980. Before being told to celebrate a gold bullion rebuilding of 4 tonnes by @edmnangagwa, Zimbabweans to ask what happened to the 11 tonnes of gold bars they inherited from Ian Smith. Zimbabweans need to know how Robert Mugabe used Singapore Airlines as his private airline to cart out Zimbabwe’s gold to Dubai, Singapore and India. Zimbabweans need to question how an individual @hon_pedzaiscott has unfettered access to gold and has bigger reserves in his house than the country’s apex bank. Zimbabweans need to ask what happened to the gold found on @HBRushwaya @wicknellchivayo brother in Johannesburg, Delish Nguwaya and why they were never arrested!! Zimbabweans must never ululate when they are pissed on and get told its raining @nickmangwana @cityofharare2 @HeraldZimbabwe @ChronicleZim @NewZimbabweCom @advocatemahere @LynneStactia @IanSmiththe3rd @ibbosnr @SAPESTrust10 @toneo1st @MacBelts @NehandaRadio

Surely, the Zimbabwe Republic Police @PoliceZimbabwe, you have proved yourselves to be one of the most useless police services in the world. Senior Zimbabwean lawyer Doug Coltart is violently attacked in front of television cameras. The incident is captured live on camera and broadcast around the world. His phone is stolen in full view of the public. The whole world sees the phone being grabbed from him, sees the suspect, and the suspect is known. Reports and widely circulated videos have identified the alleged suspect as Luckmore Gapa. Yet you fail to arrest him, even in a pretentious way. You do not even pretend to investigate or act. The suspect is freely moving around Zimbabwe as if nothing happened, and yet you expect citizens to take you seriously as a professional law enforcement institution. You have become a complete joke. Even in brutal dictatorships elsewhere, authorities at least pretend to uphold the law when an incident so public and embarrassing takes place. But you are so compromised, so captured by ZANUPF, that you cannot even maintain the basic appearance of professionalism or impartiality. What message are you sending to ordinary Zimbabweans when a violent attack, witnessed live by the entire world, produces no visible action from the police? You are effectively telling citizens that political affiliation determines whether the law applies or not. That is not policing. That is the collapse of public trust and the collapse of the rule of law. Shame on you. You have effectively become a ZANUPF militia service used to arrest, harass, and persecute anyone perceived to be against ZANUPF. That is what you have essentially become. You have ceased to function as a professional national police service that protects all citizens equally under the law. People no longer have confidence in you. I have read countless stories of Zimbabweans who experience serious criminal incidents at their homes and do not even bother to call the police because that is how useless and ineffective you have become in the eyes of the public. Citizens now believe that unless a matter is political or linked to protecting powerful people, you either will not act or you simply do not care. A police service that loses the trust of ordinary citizens has already collapsed morally, even before it collapses institutionally. The tragedy is that Zimbabweans fund your salaries through their taxes, yet many no longer believe you exist to protect them.
Zimbabwe Republic Police@PoliceZimbabwe

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has not issued any official press statement regarding updates on the alleged assailants of Douglas Coltart. Members of the public are advised to disregard any circulating statements purporting to be from the ZRP, as some individuals are deliberately spreading false and misleading information using fake ZRP press releases. The police are fully aware of these activities and investigations are currently underway to identify the people responsible for creating and distributing the fake statements. The public is urged to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information. The law will take its course against anyone found responsible for publishing or circulating false information, regardless of where those individuals are located.
