Anyway, Biden's time is over, and he has accepted it. And as with every president, plenty will criticise his record. But I found it a particularly notable contrast to Donald Trump, who as far as I know has never said anything kind or empathic about another human.

What a lovely day! The family cycle lane in Chiswick reducing congestion... The floating bus stop working like a dream... And when I cycle along C9 I remember Cllr Steve Curran, who insisted on building it, saw it through, and died far too young in March.
