@marwilliamson This isn't new; the Mexican constitution guarantees the right to healthcare. The only thing that is changing is that control of the current programs is being consolidated. If the central government controls access to healthcare, it controls the public.

@D162Michele The article isn’t blaming anyone. It simply suggest that farms consider more sustainable practices, like improved irrigation methods, to reduce environmental impact. It helps to read more than headlines, and to be honest enough to link to the article: straitstimes.com/world/europe/y…

@baddiestaceyxo @Mappy6984 Fraud and theft drive up prices. Businesses recover losses, by raising prices, reducing fees, reducing staff or closing stores. As for this video, like most similar videos, is scripted. The first kid trying this for real, will likely get arrested.

A day later, your post confirms that you know as much as the rest of the public: nothing. If Trump were surrendering, toll-paying traffic would be transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the IRGC would be rounding up disloyal Iranians for execution, and China would be openly rebuilding the Iranian military.

Hasn’t President Xi Jinping’s purge of PLA and defense leadership, involving the removal of over 100 senior officials, also been tied to issues like equipment failures, procurement problems, and inflated performance reports? You don't fire leadership if they are truly performing as claimed.

10 years ago, I said US had the strongest military. Today? China has surpassed America. Advanced tech. Massive production. 🇺🇸US: old junk + student loan soldiers. 🇨🇳China: cutting-edge weapons + patriots. The shift is complete. 2025 V-Day Parade proved it.👇

Trump: "I was with President Xi and I said him to him, 'We have the greatest military in the world.' He actually didn't agree. We had a great meeting. He actually didn't disagree with me on that."

@HealthRanger Foreign owned automakers account for ~50% of US vehicle production. If you buy a BMW, Volvo, Mercedes, Toyota, Nissan or Hyundai it was likely built in the US. If China wants to sell EV's in the The US, they can follow Vietnams VinFest to North Carolina and build a plant.

If you're American, you won't be allowed to buy the best vehicles in the world any longer. And Trump is also slapping European auto makers with new tariffs, too. All the protect a failing U.S. auto industry that churns out overpriced crap, for the most part. With arguably Tesla being at least far ahead on the tech side with FSD and EV innovation.
Li Zexin 李泽欣@XH_Lee23

Ford CEO Jim Farley: We should not let Chinese EVs into the US. Jim himself drove a Chinese Xiaomi Su7 and has been to China 6-7 times a year. He said, "It's the most humbling thing I've ever seen. They have far superior in-vehicle tech." Can't win, so they ban.

The U.S. Coast Guard cannot pay its bills. The military branch – now 75 days into the longest shutdown in U.S. history – owes over $300 million in unpaid obligations. And with thousands of utility bills overdue, totaling $5.2 million, duty stations and military housing worldwide are facing service shutdowns. "It seems like a horror movie, but it's actually happening. It's almost unbelievable," Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Kevin Lunday told CBS News in an exclusive interview.

The problem is that people aren't entering the trades. You can't just become a plumber, electrician or aircraft mechanic overnight. Those with solid experience in these fields will still be in demand, and will become the new upper middle class, while the 'professionals' will fight over the scraps. There will always be a need for these people even if everyone else is existing off UBI.

@conspiracy_zero @iam_elias1 With huge levels of unemployment, demand for trades will also tank. There may be work, but only a fraction of what is there in a healthy economy. Discretionary spending will completely evaporate, only emergency spending will remain.

Two economists just published a mathematical proof that AI will destroy the economy. Not might. Not could. Will — if nothing changes. The paper is called "The AI Layoff Trap." Published March 2, 2026. Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Boston University. Peer reviewed. Mathematically modeled. The conclusion is one sentence. "At the limit, firms automate their way to boundless productivity and zero demand." An economy that produces everything. And sells it to nobody. Here is how you get there. A company fires 500 workers and replaces them with AI. A competitor fires 700 to keep up. Another fires 1,000. Every company is behaving rationally. Every company is following the incentives correctly. And every company is building a trap for itself. Because the workers who were fired were also customers. When they lose their jobs faster than the economy can absorb them, they stop spending. Consumer demand falls. Companies respond by cutting costs — which means automating more workers — which means less spending — which means more falling demand — which means more automation. The loop has no natural exit. The researchers tested every proposed solution. Universal basic income. Capital income taxes. Worker equity participation. Upskilling programs. Corporate coordination agreements. Every single one failed in the model. The only intervention that worked: a Pigouvian automation tax — a per-task levy charged every time a company replaces a human with AI, forcing them to price in the demand they are destroying before they pull the trigger. No government has implemented this. No major economy is seriously discussing it. Meanwhile the numbers are already tracking the curve. 100,000 tech workers laid off in 2025. 92,000 more in the first months of 2026. Jack Dorsey fired half of Block's workforce and said publicly: "Within the next year, the majority of companies will reach the same conclusion." Nobody is doing anything wrong. Companies are following their incentives perfectly. That is exactly the problem. Rational behavior. At scale. Simultaneously. With no mechanism to stop it. Two economists built the math. The math leads to one place. Source: Falk & Tsoukalas · Wharton School + Boston University · arxiv.org/pdf/2603.20617

@OopsGuess @grok how much did the Cuban government make off of doctors being sent abroad during the pandemic versus how much they paid the doctors?

Cuba has been blockaded, sanctioned, strangled, threatened, and punished by the United States for decades. So long, in fact, that many people forget what Cuba still chose to be. During the early days of COVID, while Cuba itself was short of medicine and supplies under U.S. sanctions, Cuban doctors were sent abroad to help countries drowning in crisis. This is a country that had to cut cloth to make masks, yet still sent medical teams to others. A country pushed into blackouts by resource strangulation, yet still persevered and refused to kneel. A country repeatedly threatened with invasion by Trump, yet still sacrificed 32 elite soldiers in Venezuela while defending an allied neighbor. Now Washington talks about “spying,” “security,” and “threats” while pretending its blockade is not slow survival violence against an entire people. But China remembers what Cuba represents. Not wealth. Not obedience. Not empire’s approval. Dignity. The United States may be the strongest bully on earth. But it still cannot rewrite the pride of nations that refuse to surrender. Not every country is Japan.

The claim comes from Iran's Fars News Agency (state media), citing satellite data: 52 Iranian vessels (31 tankers, 21 cargo) crossed the US blockade line in 72 hours ending April 27. Context: US CENTCOM imposed the naval blockade on ships entering/exiting Iranian ports April 13 after Feb-Mar conflict with Iran/Israel. A fragile ceasefire (extended by Trump April 21) is in effect, but enforcement continues. Independent trackers (Kpler, Lloyd's, Vortexa) confirm dozens of Iran-linked ships evaded in the first 1-2 weeks; CENTCOM reports turning back 27-39 vessels while seizing a few. Numbers vary by source.
