Hey @FOXNashville, Nashville is @Braves country. Who is making the decision not to put the Braves on for the national game? And it’s insane that this game is impossible to watch in the city as a result of your choice. @mlb has to fix these blackout rules.
BravesVision@BravesVisionTV

As a reminder, with tonight's game being a FOX broadcast, Braves.TV will not be available. Braves.TV is for the 140+ games produced and distributed by @BravesVision. This is tonight's coverage map for FOX⤵️

@OneSeaElephant @DocAbirHealth At high amounts it does but if you are supplementing with 1iu to 2iu for general recovery then it won’t put you in insulin resistance territory or other negative side effects for most people.

Shouldn’t have used with DAC in the first place. If you want to increase GH then take GH. If you’re showing signs of insulin resistance within 2 weeks of starting a secretagogue you have bigger issues.

Bodybuilders use the peptide CJC-1295 to grow muscle. I tried it for two weeks. Unexpectedly, it changed how my body responded to 200°F sauna protocol. First, the good. I spent more total time above the heat shock protein (HSPs) threshold. This is when my core body temperature reaches 102.2°F and heat shock proteins are released. Before CJC, total time in HSP land was 9 minutes (with face cooling). On day 9 of CJC, it rose to 15 minutes. Resulting in more HSP exposure per session. Now the bad. It took me 13 minutes longer to reach the target heat shock threshold of 102.2°F. From 41 minutes to reach threshold at baseline to 53 minutes on day 9. This is an insane level of primal panic to be in 200°F for 53 min. Max core temperature remained below the 103°F mark (39.4°C) The sauna session went from 41 minutes total to 56 minutes total to get the HSP benefit. CJC raises growth hormone which causes the body to retain more water and sodium. More water means more thermal mass which means core temperature rises slower. The body is harder to heat up. A second interesting data point. My max sauna heart rate dropped from 135 to 128 bpm while the core body temp remained the same. For a bodybuilder, this water retention helps performance and physique. For someone using sauna for HSP activation, it is a tradeoff. You bank more HSP time per session, but you pay for it with substantially longer sessions. I've stopped CJC-1295 DAC. The side effect burden outweighed the benefit. A 6 minute gain in HSP exposure is not worth 14 extra minutes in the sauna plus the unknowns of sustained GH elevation. It disrupted my REM sleep and caused clear blood sugar disruption with early insulin resistance signals (posting soon). In 2 weeks I will retest after washout. If time to threshold returns to 40 minutes, the GH mechanism is confirmed. If it stays elevated, what I observed was heat acclimation. Peptides are great, we just don't know much about them.

Most people might miss the biggest benefit of sauna You need to get really really hot… Your core body temperature needs to hit 102.4°F (39°C). For reference, a fever is anything above 100.4°F (38°C) So I swallowed a temperature monitoring pill. It goes through your digestive tract and precisely measures your internal temperature every 30 seconds. When your core body temperature hits the goal of 102°F, your body releases these proteins (heat shock proteins - HSPs) that clean up your body’s debris. I was curious what time my body hits this goal because up until now, I’ve been doing 20 mins of 200°F dry sauna. … it turns out it takes 31 minutes It feels like you’re dying. I didn't expert such pain and panic. Before this experiment, I did over 200 sauna sessions at 200°F for 20 min. This means I likely never achieved the heat shock protein (HSP) threshold at 102.4°F (39°C), which deprived me of so much sauna-health goodness. If your sauna doesn’t heat up to temperatures allowing your core temperature to reach 102.4°F (39°C) or you struggle to tolerate heat, do not be discouraged. The dry sessions I did at 200°F (93°C) for 20 min still showed incredibly health benefits. My previous 20 min sessions still showed: 1) 10+ yr reduction of my vascular age 2) 87% reduction of microplastics 3) detox of environmental toxins 4) fertility marker improvement Will report back once I have results on this new protocol…

Bryan, just do straight GH. If you insist on a peptide Tesamorelin is the only one that reliably increases IGF-1. CJC w/ DAC is unnecessarily risky. Ipamorelin has less data. Sermorelin works but won't reliably increase IGF-1
Bryan Johnson@bryan_johnson

Just spent over an hour with my clinical team debating which growth hormone peptide protocol to run. Still torn. Wanted to share the thinking and get your take. The goal: Increase GH and IGF-1 to support anabolism, recovery, and sleep, but also test a specific stacking hypothesis. Tirzepatide (GLP-1/GIP agonist) can elevate resting heart rate, disrupt sleep, and suppress appetite aggressively. CJC-1295 (GHRH analog) can worsen insulin resistance. The bet is that combining them cancels each other's downsides: CJC-1295's slow-wave sleep enhancement offsets tirzepatide's sleep disruption, while tirzepatide's insulin-sensitizing effects counteract CJC-1295's insulin resistance. Best of both worlds — or at least, that's the hypothesis we're testing. The two candidates: CJC-1295 with DAC: the long acting version. One injection per week, stays active for 6–8 days. This is what was used in the actual clinical trials. Raises GH 2–10x and IGF-1 1.5–3x from a single dose. Preserves GH pulsatility even under continuous stimulation. The tradeoff: if you get side effects, you're committed for a week. Harder to titrate. CJC-1295 without DAC + ipamorelin: the short-acting version paired with a selective ghrelin receptor agonist. Daily injections, pre-bed, clears in 30 minutes. Ipamorelin adds a second axis of GH release, pulse frequency via the ghrelin pathway, on top of the amplitude boost from CJC. No cortisol or prolactin elevation. This is what most clinicians prescribe and most of the peptide community uses. The tradeoff: less clinical trial data, daily injections, more anecdotal evidence base. What we're considering: Start with DAC at half dose 2.4 mg, then if well tolerated escalate 4.8 mg, weekly injection. If side effects aren't tolerable, switch to no-DAC + ipamorelin (100 mcg then 200-300 mcg daily, before bedtime). Or, Run both head to head. 2 weeks DAC, 2 weeks no-DAC + ipamorelin and compare. Tracking: GH, IGF-1, Cortisol, CGM, real time core body temperature, RHR, overnight HRV (rMSSD), IGF-1, HOMA-IR, sleep architecture, subjective recovery. The purist in us says stick with DAC; that's where the published data lives. Yet the pragmatist says no-DAC + ipamorelin is what thousands of people actually use, and testing it generates more socially relevant data.

So @Braves are on @BravesVisionTV on Xfinity, Uverse, Spectrum, DirectTV, Fubo, and Grey as well as the team package on MLB with no blackouts, and people are STILL complaining about it? My goodness we’re a bunch of spoiled brats sometimes. 😂

@misfitpatriot_ I remember aiming for 225 and that was so hard to get to in my 40s just starting to work out. Prob 1.5 years later hit 275. Been grinding last year to up that number and got 295. Still chasing 315 and almost 49. I go to several gyms and 315 is rarely seen.

I’m sure I’ll trigger everyone, including our own fan base, but some perspective: BP’s first 24 games at AU (after taking over a program that had been down for over a decade): 11-13 Oats first 24 games at Bama (after taking over a program that had been to the NCAA tournament just 2 years before): 13-11 Steven Pearl’s first 24 games at AU (after taking over a program that had been to the F4 the year before, but lost 11 of its top 12 players, doesn’t have a true center, and playing one of the hardest schedules in the nation): 14-10

Vanderbilt controls most of the night and wins at Auburn for the first time in 10 years. Auburn drops its third straight game and, for the first time in 5 years, its second straight home game. Tigers fall to 14-10 and 5-6. Won't get easier Saturday at Arkansas.

@thegarybrecka Yeah I eat 90% meals clean but if I eat a frozen pizza or some other cheat meal every couple of weeks I think it is not doing any harm. Just like if I ate like crap 90% of the time and had a salad. The salad would not offset everything bad I had for the week.
