Craig is a businessman who operates in the Middle East, and when he next returned to Qatar, he was arrested, detained, fined, and deported, having been convicted in absentia of damaging the Marriott’s reputation. Worse, his inability to work in Qatar has destroyed his financial security. He and his wife are selling possessions online, and are considering selling their home. Marriott International, a Western company, used the draconian laws restricting speech in Qatar in order to have Craig Barratt punished for leaving a negative review on TripAdvisor - a review that was fully justified and supported by the facts. This is appalling behavior on their part, and I sincerely hope that this story will be circulated as widely as possible. All Marriott had to do was apologize. Instead, they destroyed a guest’s life for daring to complain about having been lied to, and about having been made unsafe on Marriott property by the actions of Marriott staff. thetimes.com/article/447b8e…

Back when I fist got involved in terf twitter circa 2015 or so I followed quite a few TIMs who I thought were on our side. I'm not one who is afraid to name names. Yes, I followed Miranda Yardley, Fionne Orlander, Jenn Smith and another from Ireland who went by Danielle and claimed to be homeless. Probably a few more as well. Miranda and Jenn seemed to fade away without doing anything particularly offensive as I remember it. Many ended up showing their true colors in offensive and sexist tweets and I unfollowed. Danielle had been begging online for money for a place to sleep. I sent $25, not a lot, but I also didn't have much to spare at the time. Well, it turned out Danielle was a heroin addict and grifter who turned around and mocked me for being foolish enough to send him that money. Fool me once shame on you. I would not be fooled twice. Not too long after that Fionne, who was very popular among the GC crowd, posted a Go Fund Me for FFS. Many terfs donated, including Kathleen Stock. When I saw that it felt like a punch in the gut. He had played the long game. Ingratiating himself to all of these women who now lined up to pay for his surgery. They couldn't even see it. At that time Fionne and his boyfriend had just purchased a house, a modest one yes, but still they owned a home. Meanwhile here I was renting post divorce and working my ass off to make ends meet. I know for a fact there were many other middle aged terf women just like me, some who had children to support as well. The sheer audacity of Fionne trying to farm this population, using our kindness and empathy against us, to fund PLASTIC SURGERY so he could feel prettier was breathtaking. Imagine from the point of view of a narcissist just how satisfying it would be to get the very women fighting to abolish trans ideology to pay for your surgery. How delicious! I was done. No more pet troons. The fact that so many women couldn't see what was happening was astonishing. They could not get beyond #BeKind. As an American I find the UK class system a bit strange and TBH it took me a while to understand how it has impacted the GC movement. It really wasn't part of my calculus as a US based terf. But now I see it. Oh boy do I ever. The head girls or managerial class as they're sometimes known are beyond vicious and calculating. They seek to control the narrative and discourse through shame and blatantly obvious narcissistic tactics. As a brash American who bows to no queen I will have none of it. There is a reason they tried to brand us as Ultras, block us and ridicule us. They have weaponized status and celebrity against normal women and it's disgusting. We are winning this battle. We have made our argument and it is sane, sound and convincing to anyone with half a brain and a shred of integrity. Stay strong and HOLD THE LINE

I have not won the debate with my 24-year-old son. Despite hours of discussion, he thinks that I could be more kind and inclusive. With self-ID laws already passed in Queensland, he challenges me that there haven’t been any issues for women in our toilets. I say “yet”, and that it’s irrelevant, as safety is only one of the reasons we need our own spaces. The discussion continues.

Daughter (17) used female pronouns when describing the behavior of a “trans” classmate, an effeminate boy who was medically transitioned in adolescence. Of course I corrected her. She reminded me of the intense social pressure on teens to refer to him as female. She said he mostly “passed” as female in appearance but his personality was abrasive, cruel and egotistical. He seemed to compete with the other “girls” and that alone made it clear he wasn’t really a part of their social group. He claimed subtle attempts to exclude him were “transphobia” of course. My daughter said she was relieved that she could tell the truth at home and speak openly to me about how disruptive he was and that what I said to her about wrong sex pronouns being a form of gaslighting with the aim of destroying boundaries really made sense to her, especially with regards to this boy. It’s tough parenting teens who are navigating “trans” etiquette being shoved down their throats by schools and on social media. It’s much tougher on the kids though.

Apart from the question I asked here, this is interesting for another reason. So my daughter wouldn't let her boy buy energy drinks. Now he's living with us, he's obviously going to test boundaries. He bought this, but interestingly, left the empty can where it would easily be found by me. I think he wanted me to find it just so he could be sure his boundaries haven't changed too much, which helps him feel secure 🥹🥹 I may be reading too much into it of course. Bless his heart

Hi X So, I've just had two officers from @MPSLewisham come to my house. They provided me a Ring doorbell and they will be putting other safety measures into place. They also told me their colleagues in Manchester will be bringing Fred Wallace in for questioning about posting my private information online. However, the whereabouts, (or even existence), of PC Humphreys seems to be still eluding them. My original call with him apparently cannot be traced and neither can he! I have raised this with my MP @JanetDaby because either someone is impersonating a Met police officer, or there's a cover-up. I will keep you posted. Thank you for your support. Dr P Pls rx.
