For those of you living inside the codex app, what should we prioritize among features, reliability or performance?

@thsottiaux Adding "chats" to codex was a move in that direction. Really enjoying it. I would love to be able to use my Pro Research agent inside codex. That would be a game changer.

We are busy bringing ChatGPT to Codex so that we can bring Codex to ChatGPT. One day this will make sense.

By far the most underrated idea that @danshipper has put out is the idea of Codex-Native apps. Apps meant to opened in the Codex browser feel awesome. It inverts the idea of an in-app co-pilot and puts you in control of the AI side of that — not a PM who's worried about efficiency, headline risk, cost control, or whatever else. And, of course, you can build your own apps easily too.

@robertcourson @Dimillian The codex app supports using /goal. There is a bug though that doesn't show it when you use the slash command. Once you configure it in the .toml file you can use /goal in the app.

@Dimillian just set it up and had a few thoughts: 1. Great job 2. If it doesn't work with the codex cli it's not super valuable to me since codex app doesn't support /goal 3. the projects it's bringing in have been archived or deleted on my codex desktop app and clutter the mobile list

@johanbaath @TheRealAdamG I couldnt find it either...If its saved into your toml file even if it doesnt show up as a slash command you can use it. Worked for me even though it doesnt display in the UI when i do the slash command

Yes, /goal is in the Codex App now (not just CLI).

Been enjoying the Paper MCP with codex alot. I wish there was a tool like Paper that opened in the Codex browser. A codex native canvas board like this.
