Amos Wekesa will struggle to market this country but there are things that gov't has to be intentional about and fix. Imagine this is what we are known for.

The best course of action for her now is to step down. Enough is enough—her plans have been exposed, and the situation has reached a tipping point. The cartel she has allegedly built over the years now appears to be shifting the goalposts to serve its own interests. For the sake of credibility, accountability, and public trust, it is time to take responsibility and allow new, principled leadership to take charge.

Every Ugandan who qualifies to be President of Uganda is free to aspire. What is being questioned is Among using public resources at the expense of tax payers to achieve that. In the 11th parliament she turned parliament into a donation and dealership house. She was too impatient to serve as Deputy Speaker even for 5 years. She used our tax payers money to bribe NRM structures to become 2nd Vice Chairman of NRM just to position herself for the big seat. Now she is playing with our minds that she doesn't want to become President because she doesn't know how to shoot a gun. All she wants is to be Speaker of 12th Parliament and then in a calebdestine manner use our public resources at the expense of taxes payers to entrench herself in all NRM grassroot structures. In 2031 when she leaves Speakership, she will have various options including quitting NRM to contest as opposition or under a breakaway group of NRM. You need to watch how she wanted to be the one to welcome independent MPs into NRM just to create her base within NRM. She even had hijacked NRM victory celebrations country wide. Her going on every rally of M7 was not to campaign for M7 but to introduce herself to the population. But all this is fine as long she doesn't continue to use our public funds. But once she remains a speaker of 12th parliament she will have unlimited public funds to do her bidding. So the people are saying no. We need services and not politicking.

@norbertmao You seem to suggest that Among having presidential ambitions or rumoured as such, is treason or inappropriate of her. Or am I reading this wrong? You once ran as a presidential candidate. Do you regret that?

🚨UPDATE: Many times the state using various tactics has eliminated high profile figures and ended up forging postmortem report. Hon.Hellen Nakimuli has been a friend to many of us and a mother to many, she drove herself to the ka medical facility for a minor surgery and they ended up using it as opportunity to terminate her life. In 2012, after the mysterious death of Hon.Cerina Nebanda the state forged a postmortem report that indicating that Nebanda had succumbed to drugs. In 2015, after the death of the late Gen.Aronda Nyakairima the state postmortem report indicated that the general passed away due to heart at heart though at the burial his wife dustbined the postmortem. We are tired of murdering our people and intimidations in the name of silencing us Hon.Hellen Nakimuli was deliberately murdered 😢

We are all rooting for Hon.@norbertmao to be the next speaker of parliament because of his corruption free character. He’s the only candidate who without any doubt restore the reputation of parliament.

This is exactly what is wrong with some of our leaders today. How does a whole Speaker of Parliament allow another adult to kneel down and put on her shoes? This is not leadership ,this is entitlement, arrogance, and a complete disregard for human dignity. Public office is not a throne. It is a responsibility to serve people with humility and respect. Turning fellow citizens into personal attendants for such acts is shameful and backward. Anita Among should know better. This kind of behavior sends a dangerous message ,that power means superiority over others. Ugandans must reject this culture. We cannot normalize leaders who elevate themselves while degrading others. Leadership is service, not dominance. Enough is enough.

You insinuate to the extent that Hon. @norbertmao isn't loyal. He is very loyal, not corrupt, very competent and less ambitious. Uganda needs a Speaker who will focus on the duties of a Speaker instead of building personal political networks. The qualities of Hon Mao can't be ignored. May 2026 is the month that shall decide everything. It's a few weeks away.

🚨🚨🚨 PRESIDENT MUSEVENI'S TOUGH PICK: AMONG'S LOYALTY OR MAO'S DEAL ⁉️ President Museveni faces a tough choice for the next Speaker of Parliament. He must decide between keeping loyal Annet Anita Among for her dedication and hard work, or appointing Norbert Mao in line with their recent cooperation deal. The decision has sparked tensions between the two leaders. Who will win it???

Daily Monitor's reporting these days is so pathetic and unbecoming. They have scooped so low in their activism journalism. Typical of a dying horse.
