Meet Captain Jeffrey Little, a devout Christian and member of the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Lifeguard Division. He was reportedly SUSPENDED from his job after he refused to raise rainbow Pride flags for Pride Month. Little initially asked for a religious accommodation, which the county reportedly initially approved before revoking it two days later. He is now suing the Los Angeles County for religious discrimination and harassment.

🚨Why don’t we see any Muslims girls in the rape statistics? Because it’s a rape jihad targeting non-Muslim girls. Muslim men don’t rape their own because that would be haram — an offense to Allah.

Jake Auchincloss is essentially endorsing Susan Collins in Maine. Absolutely no excuse for a Democrat in the House to back a Republican for Senate in a crucial swing seat. Auchincloss should be primaried. His primary election is September 1 in a safe, D+11 seat.

In an interview with CNN on Monday, Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) says he finds Graham Platner's tattoo disqualifying and hopes Maine voters agree with him Auchincloss: “I find that tattoo and his commentary about it to be personally disqualifying. I hope Maine voters agree with me.” #MaineSenate

@CynicalPublius Not Ivy League but I had a poly sci course at Michigan State in 1983 that didn't like debate. The prof wasn't open to right wing thoughts. My grades suffered in that class because of my inability to keep my mouth shut.

I'm working on an article and could use some help. When did the Ivy League and other "prestigious" universities stop teaching students HOW to think and start teaching students WHAT to think? I'm primarily thinking about liberal arts programs but would love to hear examples in STEM too. Thanks in advance.

@JohnLeePettim13 This kinda boomer mindset is why we don't have generational wealth. My grandpa joined the army at 18 and had built 3 houses by 45... There is no way I could do that currently because of inflation and stagnation. competing with Pablo for work is not the american dream

Ok here's my boomer story: I have a daughter 34 yrs old. She put herself thru college, has a good job with the government. Married a miner, they had 2 sons. They bought a house and later bought a cottage on a beautiful lake. They don't complain, realize life is hard but the harder they work at it the better it becomes. When I want to talk about my will she say's Dad we don't want any of it, spend it all on yourself, you've worked hard for it, enjoy it. You see if you raise them right, give them a strong work ethic they need nothing from their boomer father. It's then you know you've done your job right.

BREAKING: Judge Nicholas Rowland chose not to sentence three teenage boys to jail after they were involved in the gang r* pe of two girls. Reports say the incidents were recorded on phones, with the teens allegedly laughing and encouraging one another during the attacks. The judge explained his decision by saying he wanted to avoid “unnecessarily criminalising” the boys because of their age. The case is now sparking major debate online, with many questioning whether enough accountability was given in such a serious situation.

@spongeworthy2 @AmericanGidget @dckls @Pirateborn71259 I hear you and agree. I left and never looked back. It just triggers me when people start gaslighting everyone saying Boomers are all these wonderful people with hearts of gold. They are certainly not, and those of us with our background know it.

Lots of passionate posts from younger people claiming that “boomers” and the elderly in general somehow had it easier than the average young adults today. Here are a few facts from my life that some may find amusing. I slept in a unfinished, stereotypical old fashioned attic from the age of 8 to 18. One hanging light bulb with a switch at the bottom of the staircase. No heat and the entire two story house was without air conditioning. The attic had a window at each end, one of which gave me access to the nearly flat porch roof where I often slept to find relief from the oppressive heat, despite the risk of rolling off in my sleep. We had one t.v with three channels, ABC, CBS, NBC, courtesy of an antenna on the roof above my attic sanctuary. Around 1981 when I was a high school freshman we got cable. A analog box with 30 channels and it was life changing in how we spent our free time. We ate “out” perhaps 3 times a year and it was McDs or Burger Chef and the free toy was a treasure. One pair of cheap sneakers, $12 Converse’s for the new school year. Maybe a pair of wrangler jeans. We got underwear and socks as Christmas gifts. One hardline phone and long distance calls were strictly forbidden so you had to date locally or write letters longhand in cursive. 80 kids in my graduating class and probably 5 owned a car. We walked more in a week of summer than most people today walk all year. I could go on forever but I think I made my point clear. Everything changed at lightening speed and it wasn’t all for the better. That’s my kid brother in the overalls. About 15 years after this pic was taken he was tried and sentenced to life in prison for murder. I’m in the stripes and 30 years after the pic was taken I made my first million after completing my military service. 2 boys from one attic and 2 drastically different outcomes. Life is what you make it. Stop complaining and get to work.

I know that there are some Democrats who are in it for power, but what about the rank and file Democrats? Do they honestly believe they are the party of doing good? I'm not naive. I know Republicans have their problems, but Democrats are the party of evil. And it truly is a battle of good vs evil.
Cynical Publius@CynicalPublius

Democrats NEED to call Republicans “Nazis,” and the inverse is not true because it’s unnecessary. I’ll explain. Republicans freed the slaves. Republicans won the Civil War and magnanimously reconciled with the losing Democrats even though they did not need to. Republicans passed the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments. Republicans gave women the vote. Republicans desegregated the federal workforce. Republicans ended Jim Crow. Republicans passed the Civil Rights Acts. Republicans have been zealous defenders of 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. Against such a stellar historical track record of promoting freedom and personal liberty, Democrats NEED to call Republicans “Nazis” to obscure the truth of who the bad guys actually are. Democrats, OTOH, built a party based almost exclusively on slavery and racism. Democrats initiated and fought a bloody Civil War that killed ~700,000 Americans. Democrats instituted Jim Crow. Democrats popularized lynching. Democrats opposed the post-Civil War Amendments and all of the Civil Rights Acts. Democrats denied the vote to women. Democrats re-segregated the federal work force. Democrats invented and staffed the KKK. Democrats have always fought for a racialized society. Democrats re-racialized society in the 21st Century. Democrats invented abortion as a tool of eugenics. Democrats killed ~66,000,000 babies since 1973 thanks to Roe v. Wade. Democrats hate the 2nd Amendment. Democrats hate the 1st Amendment when free speech, freedom of assembly or freedom of religion challenge them. Democrats have embraced Marxism and jihad. Republicans do not need to call Democrats “Nazis” because calling them “Democrats” is horrific enough. Explained.

Those 3 teenage boys who raped 2 girls that they targeted. Who filmed their victims being raped. Who were convicted of 11 rape charges between them. And walked out of court with nothing more than Youth Rehabilitation Orders because of a male judge who didn’t want criminalise children. I am absolutely raging about this. When we’re trying to teach boys about consent. And judges are showing them that rape has no consequences. Every man should be up in arms about this. This is why women are so angry

Just so you know. Boomers didn't have fast food. Except fish and chips. Boomers didn't have ready meals. Except Vesta beef curry. Look it up. Boomers didn't have colour TVs, front loading washing machines, central heating or holidays abroad. Boomers didn't have babymoons or baby showers nor did they go on stag or hen weekends. Boomers didn't go to restaurants. Except on birthdays. Boomers didn't have new clothes every year, every season. They made do and mended. But Boomers had a fabulous time in the 1960s to 1980s because people were friendly, respectful, dignified and hardworking. Boomers also had law and order and a judiciary who punished ALL criminals. Boomers were happy with their lot. Yes. I'm a Boomer. Just so you know.
