i fucking know what they are , they are constantly selectively applied to achieve the desired outcome, ripeness , mootness, and laches are often applied to the same controversy … oh you’re too early, oh your too late, oh it doesn’t matter anymore. And standing is the most abused doctrine ever. Take your definition and shove it.

Since you're educating me on legal terms, I'm going to share some definitions that I needed to find: Standing means you have to be the right person bringing the case (you must be directly affected); many suits were tossed because random individuals or entities were asking for sweeping remedies they had no legal right to demand.usatoday+1 Mootness means the issue is already resolved or the requested remedy is no longer legally possible (e.g., trying to undo certification after deadlines have passed).campaignlegal+1 Laches means you waited too long to sue; you can’t sit on your hands until after you see the results and then try to change the rules retroactively.campaignlegal These are not “bullshit” excuses; they’re basic rule‑of‑law concepts that apply in every kind of case, not just elections.

I tried taking a mental health break from political posts, but the news that Trump's giving a speech- in 2026- to declare the 2020 senate elections "illegitimate" has dragged me back in! This delusional, shell of a human can't accept he lost. And knows that voters doubting our processes, so he can suppress the vote, is his only hope in the midterms. How can anyone still think he's a tough guy? He's such a colossal, whiny baby.

@DJanitis @bryanbehar that’s not why they were dismissed. Laches, standing , mootness, or whatever other procedural bullshit because the system is corrupt and reinforces itself. The point was they didn’t want to evaluate evidence and they wanted ZERO actual investigations

Oh, Patrick, you must be a lawyer - I'm definitely not. From my reading, “Zero investigatory powers” isn’t accurate—courts can and do evaluate evidence when it’s presented. In these cases, claims were repeatedly dismissed because they lacked credible evidence, not because judges refused to look at it. And “procedural grounds” isn’t a loophole—it means the cases didn’t meet basic legal standards to proceed. After years, dozens of rulings, audits, and recounts (many led by Republicans), there’s still no substantiated evidence of outcome-changing fraud. If “NPC lemming” means I accept evidence, court rulings, and basic standards of proof, I’m comfortable with that.

The fact you use that retarded "60+ court challenges" like its an argument already shows how ignorant you are. Those court challenges were with zero investigatory powers. That said nearly all of them were dismissed on procedural grounds no evidentiary grounds. But you're a fucking NPC lemming and all you do is parrot talking points. The sad truth is that your handlers all know its rigged and if you don't its because you are one of their useful idiots.

@derechadude @bryanbehar "Everyone" knows it was rigged? Golly, how did I miss it? I was so easily tricked by that 60+ court challenges, recounts, audits (including by Republican officials), and years of searching for evidence that never materialized. Gotta give credit to the riggers - fooled us all.

@derechadude @JimBobLAX @Ryry356 @AbhiKambli1984 The judges opinion matters significantly more than yours, actually. You obviously don't like the judges opinion, but Trumps control of both entities means that they're not adverse to one another.

The reason why ICE agents continue to shoot people is because nothing ever happens to them when they do. They essentially have been granted full immunity for whatever they choose to do to people by a lawless regime of thugs.

doesn’t matter your opinion or this judges … they are distinct legal entities… he doesn’t lose his right to damages just because he’s the president . and this judge has no controversy and the plantiffs have no standing . Beside sue and settle is the democrats preferred tactic for nullifying laws they don’t like where they get left wing NGOs that sue friendly democratic AGs. I’m sure you complained about that.

@DeseretDispatch @LDS_Dems Don’t waste your breath arguing .. this isn’t a case of someone being afraid they weren’t cops … it’s a case of them knowing they are ICE and running because they don’t get deported. These leftist shitheads know this.

@LDS_Dems They don't just walk up at a red light in disguise. They use emergency lights and sirens to initiate a vehicle stop. If you choose to physically resist a vehicle extraction by armed men with flashing lights, you're operating on movie logic, not the legal system.

@AbromitisMike @JoyceWhiteVance it’s pure activism. The plantifs have no standing they were parties to the original deal. There is no “case or controversy “ … this is just this crank of a judge acting like some kind of 4 branch of the government autocrat. It’s completely illegitimate use of judicial power.

Judge Kathleen Williams didn't just reject Trump's $1.776 billion "slush fund" deal—she dismantled it, step by careful step. It's one of the most consequential opinions of the year, and every page matters. I break down why. open.substack.com/pub/joycevance…

@JamesSurowiecki This shit is so pathetic…. it’s just a thinly veiled attempt to stop enforcement of immigration law. Sorry … it’s not stopping and whining over some tragic case where someone fucked around and found out isn’t going to change that.

Cops can't murder an unarmed person driving a car because of a vague "fear for public safety." This is an admission that ICE executed the guy in Maine. But DHS is fine with admitting it because they know there's no chance ICE agents will face any legal consequences.

I do not know if the ICE shooting in Maine is justified or not. But even if it is, and you know I support law-enforcement, there has to be a better way. There are too many people being killed.

@JimBobLAX @Ryry356 @AbhiKambli1984 Sue and settle is distinct from what Trump did because the parties in the case are actually different people. They may have motives/goals that are similar, but Trump was stupid and obvious about this instead of laundering it through Heritage or something.
