Yesterday, my six-year-old son had his first Little League game of the year. I absolutely kid you not when I say I think at least a third of the parents on the team truly believe their son will one day make the major leagues.

In the past yr, I've tx'ed a 9 yo with a displaced medial epicondylar avulsion fx & a 12 yo with a proximal UCL avulsion requiring UCL repair w IB. In both instances, those are injuries usually seen 4-5 yrs later in development. It's going to be coach pitch in HS in a few yrs 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's not uncommon for pre-teen baseball players to play 150+ games per year. Sadly, this is not an April Fool's joke.

I’m seeing 12-year-olds with UCL tears! That’s not bad luck—that’s bad development. We traded long-term growth for short-term exposure and radar gun numbers.

How to get rich as a strength coach/personal trainer… 1. No matter what, claim you played D1 sports somewhere. Maybe bribe a mid major school to put you on their practice roster. Or tell people you got recruited but an injury derailed your career before pre-season so you never played & never got listed on the roster 2. Get as many certs as you can & make sure you list all the initials after your name. The more initials the better. You may not know anything, but people will certainly think you do 3. Get in the best shape possible. Use peptides, deer antler spray. Whatever it takes to get shredded. Abs are very helpful. 4. See point #3. Once you are in good shape, build your entire social media around showing off your physique & how jacked you are. You may be stupid & unable to make a basic program, but kids & parents won’t care. They’ll come train with you because you’re the jacked guy on Instagram who will make them look the same 5. DM every athlete you can find who already trains somewhere else. It’s not their fault that they didn’t hear about you. Honestly, you’re doing them a favor if you poach them from the coach they have gone to for 5 years. They deserve to go to you instead. Tell them how terrible their coach is & that you’ll get them better 6. Any athlete who breathes & commits to a school should be added to your list of accolades. Maybe you only met them once but you certainly should tell everyone they’re committed & got there because of YOU 7. This is where it gets tricky. A good coach must have tech and lots of it. Get a new credit card. Max out your credit line & get the fanciest tech. Force plates, VBT, 1080 sprint. All of it. You won’t know how to use it but you’ll look so smart It’s not easy, but you can do it. 7 simple steps & you too can be an elite strength & conditioning coach/personal trainer!

@JakeIggy What’s crazy is that Henry wouldn’t pay Bregman but paid this bum because some Driveline dork liked how he hit against a machine. Pathetic.

I'm starting to realize that the reason everyone and everything is so polarized is cognitive laziness. No one wants to question anything if it feels good. People are not interested in facts. They're interested in feelings. And the internet makes this worse in at least two ways: 1) Every idea that feels good is easily amplified, whether it's true or not. The worst ones, of course, get the most amplification. 2) It's completely eliminated cognitive friction. People just are not used to thinking hard. Now, thinking has always been taxing, but before the internet, you didn't really have a choice. But now, people don't care about sources, or, even worse, they twist they misinterpret the data to fit a narrative. Or hallucinate information that isn't there. AI is ONLY going to make this worse. Because imagine a machine giving your hallucinations weight because it's used 80% of its tokens... but you don't even know what a token is, because that takes energy to learn. So eff it! If the all-knowing AI said it's true, it must be.

@J_ATeam @StocksNBaseball @diamondhands45 We are saying driveline is in the business of making money at their athletes expense. When a pitcher is wearing an elbow compression band that’s a give away to an underlying problem.

I was criticized the other day for questioning why @MLB pitchers are throwing MAX effort in bullpen sessions this early in Spring Training. Maybe I know a little more about this stuff than you social media experts huh? Leo Mazzone is an expert on pitching and one of the best pitching coaches in MLB history and he agrees with me. @drantbradley Over the last 10 years I have seen more "trainers" who have no idea how to properly train an athlete. They come up with their own crazy methods and think it is groundbreaking. All it does it damage the athletes and hamper their growth.

@SmittyOnMLB Hey @SmittyOnMLB, will you do a follow up with a catalog of every MLB player, amateur or child that has gone there and improved, not improved or injured themselves? Is Kyle open about that data? And if the Red Sox perform poorly will it be Driveline's fault or the players?

Kyle Boddy sees clips on social media of Boston sports radio hosts talking about Driveline. “Why should I have these expectations like, ‘Oh, well, you should do a lot of research and read Wikipedia and read Kyle’s book.’ Why should they do that? They’ve got a million things they got to do, so it doesn’t bother me. I’m honored, honestly, that Driveline is that relevant to them.”
