Main thoughts this morning is why do we continually think digital really saves us money. its an investment into efficiency and doing things better, safer, faster - but the obsession to find a 'business case' is really a false economy. Central gov moving to OKRs .....

@MattFenech83 @dave_dlt @PrimaryCareIT We’re constrained by UI that is possible within @EMISHealth, tbf I don’t think they envisioned people using the tools in their platform in this way and are working on a different way of displaying data.

Decision support tools from @PrimaryCareIT . Massive massive cognitive aid, and much safer for DMARDs/drugs that need monitoring.

@HesselingMarkus My concern isn’t the short term. We are reversing - in a flash - years of education (for patients and clinicians) not to request/prescribe antibiotics for mild infections. I suspect it will be hard to go back. If so, we are in for years of higher prescribing, not weeks.

@drmikedsmith If you train has been cancelled you can use your existing ticket to board the service directly before or after your cancelled train. ^KT

@LNER when you say you can make a fee free change of plans if your train has been cancelled - does that mean you waive the £10 admin fee or you can swap to a more expensive train? Obviously the fares are now mega expensive compared to time of booking

How should Secondary Care colleagues get hold of a GP if they need to discuss our patients on the day? Calling the surgery is not a solution, with lines often jammed. To respect their time, and enable better communication channels, we need some better solutions. Thoughts?

@drmikedsmith @goldstone_tony @rijan44 If you're a Principal GP you can withdraw from the scheme and keep the employer contribution unless your partnership agreement requires otherwise. If you're an employed GP it's the Practice that decides whether you get access to recycling. If you're a locum it's down to your T&Cs

I predict the pension recycling will be spun as a pay hike for leaving the pension scheme...🤔

@rijan44 Recycling is nothing more than allowing people to access what’s already theirs (on a cost neutral manner) without the benefit of tax relief. Any attempt to spin this a pay rise is complete nonsense
