Another “husband su*cide” the system will quietly ignore. 33-year-old engineer Pradyumn Yadav, working in Madhya Pradesh, travelled to Gorakhpur’s Kusmhi forest and hanged himself near Budhiya Mata Temple after recording a 1 minute 46 second video. In his final message, he blamed mental h@rassment, marital disputes, repeated court battles, and pressure created by his wife. “Maybe it is not my time to die… but I no longer have the will to live with my wife’s harassment.” Married in 2017. Then came litigation, allegations, court dates, emotional destruction and isolation. Before dying, he reportedly said he was mentally exhausted by life itself — but specifically held his wife responsible for pushing him toward this extreme step. India records more than 80,000 male suicides every year. Yet society still refuses to acknowledge that men can also be victims of emotional abuse, legal h@rassment and domestic cruelty. When a woman cries, the entire ecosystem reacts instantly. When a man d*es after years of mental torture, the country calls it “personal stress” and moves on.
