@SenReneGarcia Thank you, the awful treatment of immigrants should not be based on party affiliation. The actions of this administration towards our brothers and sisters is wrong and inhumane. The inaction of our elected will be remembered long after Trump is gone.

I appreciate the Trump administration for securing our border and removing the criminal element that threatens our communities. At the same time, families with clean records and people who came to this country under legal protections seeking asylum are being detained and deported without a chance to present their case. As a son of this community built by exiles, refugees, and immigrants, I’m standing alongside CABA in calling for the Trump administration to ensure due process and review each case individually. Individuals with protected status should not be detained, and TPS should be extended until a long-term solution is reached. We must do better and bring transparency and humanity back into this broken system. #OneMiamiDade #RG13 #immigration
