@TheBrianWolfe @GhostGamingG Yeah, it is nowhere near comparable at all. Worst BF will always have much more depth than the best COD can offer. BF have structured spawns, revives, vehicles and decent game modes even if the maps suck. That being said, cod is not a high bar and evidently its just not enough.

I see this sort of comment pretty often “CS is still so popular with the same maps being played”. Same applies to Siege.
The main factor that sets them apart is that the meat on those “content bones” is skill-depth, a high ceiling to reach for, and a ton to learn, and in that, massive satisfaction.
Battlefield was never on quite that level, but I’ll tell you one thing, it used to blow COD out of the water with its more complex systems from vehicles to commander mode to bullet drop/velocity. Things that attracted me in the first place and soaked up 1000’s of hours of my time as I strove to improve.
I can’t really say the same anymore though, I’d say the depth on COD and BF6 is now pretty comparable. This isn’t easily rectified either, I just hope going into the next game they realize the true content they’re missing is depth and skill expression.

You see that’s my issue. It’s a game of “he said” and I don’t believe it. The reason why Steam Charts is so important is the transparency. That gives gamers power, and a more definitive voice on what sells and what doesn’t.
The game in your example (Skull and Bones) isn’t in the zeitgeist, no one cares or talks about it. Thats just the truth. When they do, it’s to shit on the game.
Now, when a game pops off in the steam charts (or doesn’t) people talk about why, their experience, and read reviews to make more informed decisions. That’s power. Those are the games that are talked about.
There’s a reason why consoles don’t have the equivalent on their platform.

Movement, alltho great creates too much of a skill gap but there never was enough players to matchmake correct skill levels

Even though I am critical about quite a lot in BF6 I stand by the fact they can make the game unbelievably better in just 4 or 5 updates if they focus on the correct gameplay changes and actually execute.
