They could have just asked him to play the ghost of Achilles and his signs of ageing would have just worked for him to show his decayed essence as a spirit in the underworld. The movie would have instantly become far more watchable. Ana de Armas as Athena. Henry Cavil as Odysseus. You could even get an AI to turn the Fagles translation into a screenplay. It's so freaking easy if they actually wanted to make a good movie and had 300 million dollars to do it!! AHHhhhh this makes me so mad.

@fgmenth @megha_lilly Gray eyes is a North African feature. According to the Greeks she was from Lake Tritonis (modern Chott el Djerid)

@Kagetorah92 @megha_lilly I mean, according to us she was born out of Zeus’s head after he devoured his wife, so a North Africa origin doesn’t make sense. She is also described by Homer and other authors as having bright blue/gray eyes.

@fgmenth @megha_lilly I can potentially see it. According to the Greeks, Athena was of North African origin, so I was also thinking maybe Rosario Dawson, Zoe Saldana or Sofia Boutella would make good candidates

@megha_lilly Ana de Armas would make a better Demeter. Athena was a warrior and Ana doesn’t look intimidating enough. Cate Blanchett or Charlize Theron would make a good Athena.

Greek coffee is effectively the same thing as Turkish, with Turkish being a slightly darker roast But other than that "Greek coffee" is nothing more than a nationalist attempt from the 1960s (i believe) But if you want actual Greek coffee: Nescafé Frappé. Nescafé (Nestlé) fully recognizes it as Greek.
