🧵 In the last 24hours i’ve spoken to many women rejected by @innovateuk £4m Women in Innovation grants. Of c1500 applicants & 50 awards of £75k available, only 25 were awarded. In a world where women are wildly underfunded, can it be that 1,400+ applicants weren’t good enough?

❌Bad news for women in the UK: On Jan 31 new legislation comes in increasing barriers to entry for women angel investors. ➡️Now: investors on angel investing platforms have to earn over £100k. ➡️Jan 31: new legislation raises it to £170k. 😡Issue: This will disproportionally impact the size of the pool of female investors in the UK & founders. Less female angels to invest in female founders, who because they only get 2% of VC money, rely heavily on angel funding. 🤯Unfathomable decision that needs urgent reversing pls @KemiBadenoch

Good to see @MarkKleinmanSky raise awareness on Palace Capital. As a furious shareholder i’ve seen a 25% reduction in NAV. All Chairman Steven Owen seems concerned abt is enriching himself & practising major conflicts of interest. Dubiously I can’t vote online 4 the upcoming AGM.
