There are very few people in the public eye prepared to stand up against the Education Tax, ie independent schools being forced to charge 20% VAT. A fiscally incompetent policy which will net very little and do real harm. I was a SEN child & I am a SEN parent,

@anon_opin Some trains are so old that the mobile hotspot they use is only 3G compatible. Vodafone and EE have turned 3G off already, 3 this autumn and O2 in the spring. 'The internet' doesn't appear by magic on a train, it comes from the same masts you connect your phone to. Use your own?

UK train "wifi" is abysmally poor. Surely it's worth investing in small 4/5g masts along rail routes? The amount of productive time gained back would surely pay for it several times over. I can barely reply to an email on a 90 minute journey as it stands.

I voted against the Government’s decision to scrap winter fuel payments. I am appalled that the first act of this Labour Government has been to announce that they will abolish the #WinterFuelPayment for millions of pensioners. Pensioners have earned the right to dignity and respect in retirement, and I am opposed to the Government’s plans. I will maintain pressure on the Government by campaigning to reverse this decision, as I know that it will impact many of my constituents in Chingford and Woodford Green

@AnankeUK @AndyHearn09 Yes, but the "triple lock" was a flagship Tory policy with the explicit purpose of making the pension always go up to keep up with three measures, one of which was inflation. As long as the triple lock was in place (and it has been for decades), pensions should have kept up.

The UK has the 11th longest wait to receive the worst pension in the world. We are a nation of mugs.
