When Obama became president,he was a young man with a head full of black hair. Half way through his first term,he was already 20 years older with no strand of black hair on his head. Kubeba mzigo ya watu wengi siyo rahisi.

I was asleep and a business idea has come to me in a dream. Hear me out. I have this land that is in my name. I want 20 people to contribute money so I can build 20 houses. After the houses are done, I will sell them to other people and buy more land. The 20 guys will continue contributing while I build more houses. If any of them want a house they will pay the same as those not contributing . I will call it "Affordable Housing." --

@kag70144 @DrJuma_M Actually it tells about the two airports. How did he get to the air side, near a plane, next to wheel....

@DrJuma_M I've gone through Heathrow gates many times for many years, I still don't know how he was planning to come out undetected.

He left Jomo Kenyatta International Airport hidden in the belly of a plane, carrying nothing but impossible hope. Somewhere above the clouds, as passengers complained about bland airline food and weak coffee, he lay wedged inside the freezing landing gear compartment, fighting temperatures colder than a Kenyan can imagine. It was a desperate gamble for a better life, one that ended over Clapham when the wheels opened for landing at Heathrow Airport and gravity took over. Londoners looked up to a horror no one could explain at first. Back in Kenya, the story landed like a punch to the chest. It was not just tragedy. It was desperation written across the sky, proof that sometimes hope can be fatally reckless.

Deep down just like Morocco, Egypt and our neibors Ethiopia, south Africans think they are not Africans.

This one is worrying, On Thursday, PS education said they requested KSh 245B for capitation. Treasury is giving them KSh 134B. That’s a KSh 111B gap. You don’t need to be an expert to see where this leads. Schools will struggle. Some students will be sent home. So why do we keep calling education “free”? Meanwhile, when the State House requests money, it’s fully given, sometimes even more.

Schools must stop turning uniforms and lunch into tools of punishment. No child should be humiliated because a parent is struggling. The Ministry of Education must rein in these excesses and restore dignity to our learners and schools.

@SpryVoice Writing comes from reading. They no longer read. Just check with the library how many times a core text is borrowed or article downloads from University subscribed journals. Just tell a PG students to put some pre-prepared slides away and present then watch as they faint

I am noticing a considerable number of university students responding to exam questions in short bullet points (three to five words). Zero explanation, zero examples even when the questions requires. A 30 marks question is responded to in less than a page. Exam scripts usage? 25% to 40% . There is no detail, explanation or depth. Some students are putting no effort to try and earn marks. And it's not just undegrads, at times you'll find the same issues with graduate students. In some cases, no AI, no content.

Paul like the Berean Christians because they received Christianity with eagerness and questioned it. 1 Thes 5:21 Test everything, and hold fast what is good. The Christians we have today will even hate you for questioning.

Is this Direct Instruction? Is it Discovery Learning? It’s both. I call it Direct Discovery and it’s built into every activity in the You Teach You k-8 math series. The example poses a pattern. The student discovers it. The key confirms it. Discover more at YouTeachYou.org

Ok this Safaricom MyOneApp has … issues 1. You have to enter your PIN twice to use it - once at launch and again for whatever you want to do 2. Keeps asking to setup FaceID as if for the first time and then it forgets 3. Won’t allow access unless you’re on safcom data bundle 4. Forgotten every last of my favourites painstakingly built over the years 5. Various UI/UX gaffes The fundamental issue here isn’t really the execution. I have no doubt the team went to great lengths to design, build and test the app. The main issue here is very clearly the development and testing was done in isolation in a lab without meaningfully involving actual day to day users
