@goofballLogic looks like a great book! i fall into the "engineering" & "human thought" schools from what I can tell, and think many people learn best by doing/visualizing (e.g. debuggers)

@tsoding I haven't tried for years, but, can't you still do that with VB.net etc?

You used to be able to just create a Native GUI App in 10 seconds. No Electron, no Game Engines, no Web frameworks. Just a lean fast .EXE produced in seconds. Works on any Windows machine WITHOUT Internet connection. Software Development is actually going backwards.

@Heliocene Are you saying that we should write bad software simply because developers don’t want to *checks notes* do their job?

JSON over network was a mistake. We should’ve stuck to binary encoding and just improve the tooling to view binary data in a human-readable format.

htmx isn't the only hypermedia game in town & a new, emerging alternative is nomini: nomini.js.org it's a small, attribute-driven library that combines hypermedia & reactive functionality created by one of the htmx community members check it out & give it a star!
