That’s not how this works, few things to note:
1. It’s not winner take all, large fleets like Walmart always purchase from various OEMs.
- When they first started testing with Nikola and Freightliner, it was likely they were to purchase from both, not 1 or the other.
2. This is a BEV, it isn’t for longer distance hauls, so the Tre FCEV is still a likely candidate for their mid hauling
3. Nikola has already confirmed Walmart is a customer of the Tre FCEV, they just haven’t officially announced it
4. Walmart is still actively testing the Tre FCEV
