There is a strong correlation between getting up in the morning and getting up in the world.

@panos_panay @Amazonleo Yeah, ULA rockets suck. They’re not even reusable and they cost 100+ million dollars versus $60 million with SpaceX. Amazon is old technology using all technology to launch their satellites. It’s embarrassing.

This is just cool to see. @Amazonleo has gone from 27 to 29 sats on Atlas V through hardware optimizations. We’ll see that on LA-05, set for tonight. Then our heavy-lift campaign continues on Ariane 6, plus New Glenn and Vulcan on the horizon. More satellites per launch means we can move faster. Incredible work by the team.

The robotaxis would displace human drivers, not necessarily add additional accidents per day. So it’d still be a net benefit. I see no reason to be like “it still wrecks, but at a lower rate. Unacceptable. Keep it off the streets” Every mile a Robotaxi drives (at the same cost) could be considered to reduce the human-driven taxi distance by a mile. Which is a net reduction in crashes. The economics of a lower cost would increase the total number of taxi miles, but then you have to try to value the trip each person is taking. X amount of people are traveling that otherwise wouldn’t have bc of the cheap Robotaxi, and the societal value of their trips is cumulatively Y, but the societal cost of the additional wrecks is Z. How do we compare Y and Z??

I think FSD just isn't good enough for there to be no one in the driver seat. Maybe 14.3 will change that. But if FSD gets in an accident every 1 million miles, that's 2x better than humans... But if you put 1,000,000 Robotaxi in cities, that's 1 accident per day
Mike P@mikepat711

FSD is basically done. Would love to hear more from Tesla about what the deal is with Robotaxi, because it doesn’t feel like the software should be a major bottleneck anymore at this point. Why does everyone think nothing is happening with expansion? What’s the biggest bottleneck?

@cybrtrkguy Drove that whole stretch last year on my way from Ohio to Washington. If you’re taking your time and turning it into a roadtrip it’s not bad, but if you’re in a hurry, I can see how that would be annoying

Some more changes I’ve noticed with the 2026 Cybertruck compared to 2024. I went from a 49k VIN to a 92k ⬇️ We drove all day yesterday in rain and snow, and it rained all night while parked. There’s almost no water in the bed. My previous truck would’ve been soaked, and service said they couldn’t fix it. The gap between the glass and trim piece was where water got it. Electric tape fixed that seal before, but now the gap is clearly much smaller. I think any water getting in now is rolling off the tonneau when it’s opening. Our last truck made a “chirping” sound from the front motor area around 30-35mph. Every loaner truck I got had the same sound. There was also a weird wind-like noise that came on in cold weather, and would go away in left turns. Service told people they were both normal. The new truck has had neither so far, even in cold weather. The front motor seems noticeably quieter in general, even using slippery surface or off-road mode where it’s engaged full time. All the doors, the frunk, and tonneau all close quieter. They were not bad before, just feels more premium now. The new windshield no longer appears to be cloudy so far, but I need some more sunny scenarios to be sure.

@RonWyden This is such a weird hill to die on tbh. Find a safe, secure, and accessible solution for the people unwilling or unable to vote at the polls on Election Day instead of taking the conservative-coded “resistant to change” “old-timer” stance.

Oregonians have successfully voted by mail for over thirty years, and we’ll be damned if we let Donald Trump change the way our state runs its elections. My message to the White House is this: if you come for Oregon’s vote-by-mail, you’ll have hell to pay.
Headquarters@HQNewsNow

Trump announces he is issuing an unconstitutional executive order to shut down mail-in voting nationwide and he will defund states if they do not comply with him

1. Banish (basically unsupervised, but for private parking lots, although I would like unsupervised in all cases too lol) 2. In the context of using Banish, it should save a short clip of it actually parking, like a sentry clip, and you can view it on phone and tell it to find a different parking spot if it parked somewhere it shouldn’t have (could be useful data collection for Tesla, too, tbh) 3. Also relating to it parking on its own, if it could recognize paid street parking signs and isolate them in an image or video from when it parks so you can pay online without having to go there, and without risking getting towed. 4. Active Noise Cancellation where you can actually hear a difference when it’s on/off 5. Natural Language Control for Banish and such: “park at the back of the parking lot, prioritize not parking next to another car after you drop me off” 6. This would mostly just be fun, but Google Maps has the “Live View” feature where you point your phone and it tells you which way to walk via AR. Something just like that, except it points you towards your car and tells you how far away it is. (Not tied to an FSD version, obviously) 7. Customized Home Parking (for people that have assigned spots or are particular about how they want the car parked): teach it how to get to your parking spot (mine is in an underground garage 😭) 8. Not a huge deal for me right now, but FSD while in tow mode.

FYI pnpm will ship a built-in command named “pnpm clean” in the next major. If you have an npm script named clean, you will have to use “pnpm run clean” instead. This is why we don’t ship implicit script fallback in Vite+.
