Look at the Soft Sanghi liberals crying over Congress’s potential support and alliance to TVK’s Vijay in TamilNadu to form a secular, progressive Govt. They would have been the same people who would blame Congress for not making a decision and bracing the reality if Congress hadn’t decided. Congress has to support Vijay to stop ADMK-BJP from making a backdoor entry in the TN power corridor. Vijay has already made his ideology clear and people of Tamilnadu especially youth, women and backward communities have voted him in large numbers with high expectation. The same set of people look upto @RahulGandhi at national level to fight for them.

BJP has, to a large extent, successfully spread the narrative across the country that the Congress is anti-Hindu and anti-national. Many Hindus seem to believe this and therefore do not vote for Congress. To be honest, Congress has not really done much to win back those votes. The same Congress that fought for India’s independence is now even being called anti-national, and it has not been able to effectively counter this narrative. I hope Congress becomes more aware and takes action now.
