Some unidentified Kuki individuals arrived in a Mahindra Bolero and halted along the National Highway at Daili Village. Disturbingly, CCTV footage has captured these individuals pouring diesel on the walls of a house located adjacent to the highway, in a clear and deliberate attempt to set the property ablaze.

Escalating Mortar Attacks on Civilian Areas in Sinakeithei
#Sinakeithei, Ukhrul, Manipur | 20th April 2026
Renewed conflict has erupted in the Sinakeithei region, with targeted strikes on civilian areas indicating a clear pattern of aggression. The latest attack showed minimal gunfire, relying instead on launched explosives.
At 22:11 hours 20/04/26, bombardment began near the village defense line using improvised mortars (“Pumpi”), reportedly fired from about 600 meters outside the perimeter.
A shell detonated mid-air at 00:04 hours 21/04/26, scattering shrapnel over residential rooftops, followed by another mid-air explosion at 00:15 hours, confirming sustained shelling.
No injuries reported till now. This is a developing story.

Kuki militants under the SoO Agreement attacked Tangkhul Nagas and severely injured them while they were on their way home at TM Kasom near Litan. 2. There has been a rise in X (Twitter) accounts of ex-servicemen supporting Kuki militant sympathizers.
