Ever seen the weather radar getting tested on an Airbus? You can see the antenna inside moving left and right. It sends out microwaves that bounce back from storms, rain or turbulence far ahead. That way pilots can see the bad weather and fly around it safely. Cool bit of maintenance that keeps everyone safe

EXCLUSIVE: Australia’s top spy agency’s assessment of the alleged Bondi attackers in 2019 demanded travel alerts be placed on them and their file revisited if they associated with extremists - but in a catastrophic failure, the men were able to move freely through known terror hotspots. An investigation has uncovered a series of failures that meant the Akrams slipped through the cracks of law enforcement and security agencies prior to the Bondi terror attack on December 14, 2025. In a critical lapse, the Australian Federal Police and Border Force, which sits within Home Affairs, were aware of Naveed and Sajid Akram’s travel to known terror hotspots but did not pass the intelligence onto ASIO or NSW Police, which issued the gun licenses.  It can be revealed that the Akrams travelled to Uzbekistan - a known gateway to terror hotspot Afghanistan - in late 2022 or early 2023. The investigation, conducted for the upcoming book Bondi Terror, also discovered that ASIO’s travel alert was only placed on the Akrams' first port of call, rather than their final destination. This is a matter that is likely to come under scrutiny by the Royal Commission this week. Full story here: skynews.com.au/australia-news…

Peak demand on the largest US grid is climbing fast enough that PJM has asked the Energy Department to let a Maryland 1972 oil unit run past its 438-hour-a-year emissions cap this summer, a unit it had already scheduled to retire and keeps online today only under a reliability agreement. The request was filed on May 21, before the summer peak. energy.gov/articles/energ…

If a deal is struck to end the Iranian conflict because it is believed that the Strait of Hormuz cannot be protected from Iranian terrorism and Iran still possesses the capability to destroy major Gulf oil infrastructure, then Iran will be perceived as being a dominate force requiring a diplomatic solution. This combination of Iran being perceived as having the ability to terrorize the Strait in perpetuity and the ability the inflict massive damage to Gulf oil infrastructure is a major shift of the balance of power in the region and over time will be a nightmare for Israel. Also, it makes one wonder why the war started to begin with if these perceptions are accurate. I personally am a skeptic of the idea that Iran cannot be denied the ability to terrorize the Strait and the region cannot protect itself against Iranian military capability. It is important we get this right.

Israel Braces for Scenario Where It Must Confront Iran’s Missile Threat Alone My report on i24NEWS: Against the backdrop of the latest developments in the negotiations with Iran, Israeli officials admit: the current American focus is on the nuclear issue, while the Iranian missile program may be postponed to a later stage. Israel, according to a source familiar with the matter, may ultimately have to deal with it on its own. Based on the talks with the Americans, there is growing recognition that President Donald Trump needs a “victory image” in the form of removing enriched uranium from Iranian soil, hence Washington’s heavy focus on that issue. Further to the report about friction with Washington, a source familiar with the matter admits the negotiations are being conducted under a very high level of secrecy, and Israel is not being updated around the clock. While the president is speaking this evening with Arab leaders, as of now no similar call is planned with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who for his part is expected to hold a limited-security consultation tonight with several ministers and senior defense officials.

Our intelligence services reported receiving data, including from American and European partners, about Russia preparing a strike with the Oreshnik missile. We are verifying this information. We are seeing signs of preparation for a combined strike on Ukrainian territory, including Kyiv, involving various types of weaponry. The specified intermediate-range weapons could be used in such a strike. It is important to act responsibly on air-raid alerts, starting this evening. Russian madness truly knows no bounds, so please protect your lives – use shelters. Second, we are drawing the attention of our partners in the United States and in Europe to the fact that the use of such weapons and the prolongation of this war also sets a global precedent for other potential aggressors. If Russia is allowed to destroy lives on such a scale, then no agreement will restrain other similar hatred-based regimes from aggression and strikes. We count on a response from the world – and on a response that is not post factum, but preventive. Pressure must be put on Moscow so that it does not expand the war. Third, we are preparing our air defense as much as possible, and we will respond fully justly to every Russian strike. We have given permission for a parade, but Russia has no permission for madness. This war must be ended – we need peace, not some missiles satisfying the sick ambitions of one individual. I thank everyone helping to protect lives. Once again, please take care of yourselves and use shelters tonight.

Shelly doesn’t want you to know that his wife, Sandra, has raked in millions of dollars consulting for Ocean Conservancy and other environmental activist groups. • Over $2.6M from Ocean Conservancy alone. • That same organization has been awarded 19 government grants totaling $14.2M from bills Whitehouse supported. Conflict of interest much? He should be removed from the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works for violating ethics rules. cc: @SenWhitehouse

Wow. The Washington Post op-ed page promotes a notorious climate denier. It has really gone the way of the PolluterPage. (BTW the worst-case emissions scenario fell because despite fossil fuel’s corrupt efforts, clean energy has surged globally, so this takes some nerve.)

Long before I knew what the Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) was, I agreed to go to a town hearing where my farm resides and speak about pollinators and what I was doing for them at my farm. Along the way, I learned that nearly every hayfield, small farm, and "open space" owner near my farm had been approached, on average, 4-6 times to lease their land to solar companies. We are witnessing a disturbing decline in pollinators countrywide, yes from pesticides, but also from habitat loss. They are losing the land, soils, and host plants they need to survive. When I realized the land around my farm could turn into a solar complex, I knew I needed to learn more about what was happening. I went to this meeting in my town to speak in support of a Solar Facilities Law. A man around my age was there as well, dispatched out of Santa Monica, California to speak out against our law. This was a very small Town Board meeting that, maybe, 8 people were at. What on EARTH was a man from California doing in my little town? When he approached me in the parking lot after the meeting to try and tell me why I was wrong (he picked the wrong person to do this to lol), I will never forget what he said to me. "We are pursuing farmland and open space for the panels because it comes with the least amount of impediments," he said. He told me the companies can make more money at scale by using land that's already cleared. He also told me it's easier to "ram their agenda through small town boards" than it was to take it to city councils. Not ONCE did he mention the environment, the wildlife, the people of our towns, our history or culture, or lowering our electric bills. The entire "solar" concept was one of money. He didn't even deny it to me. That's what caught my attention. I'd like to think it would catch anyone else's attention, too. The largest wealth transfer of our lifetimes is happening right before our very eyes. Generational farmland that's been stewarded by American citizens since the Revolutionary War is changing hands to foreign solar and wind corporations. That was always the plan.

✈️ Flight crews on two passenger jets failed to realize that the takeoff runway at Melbourne Airport had been temporarily shortened by resurfacing work; both airplanes overran the temporary runway threshold, then flew as low as 16 ft above the closed section, displacing unserviceability lights and marking cones, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) says. Select Committee on China
🚨BREAKING | A new @ChinaSelect investigative report is out today and the findings are troubling. Our investigation and subsequent report found that @jpmorgan, @BankofAmerica, and @MorganStanley helped Chinese companies tied to the CCP’s military apparatus and forced Uyghur labor raise BILLIONS in global capital markets. Just months after @DeptofWar designated Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (@catl_official), the world’s largest battery maker, as a “Chinese military company,” JPMorgan and Bank of America moved forward with underwriting its Hong Kong IPO, helping the company raise billions in new capital. According to our investigation, the banks proceeded even after CATL was linked to China’s Military-Civil Fusion strategy and despite evidence connecting the company to entities tied to the PLA, China’s defense-industrial base, and forced labor in Xinjiang. The investigation uncovered CATL partnerships and business relationships with blacklisted Chinese defense-linked entities including @Huawei, NORINCO, CETC, @CSSC_global, COMAC, @ChinaMobile_X, and @CN_Nuclear_Corp. The report also details CATL’s ownership stake in Wuhu Shipyard, a key builder of Chinese naval vessels and military equipment, as well as research partnerships tied to the PLA’s National University of Defense Technology and China’s nuclear weapons complex. The Committee found further evidence linking CATL’s supply chain to Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC)-connected entities implicated in forced labor and the Uyghur genocide in Xinjiang. According to the investigation, CATL refused to provide full supply chain audits, while banks proceeded with the deals anyway despite public evidence and internal diligence reports identifying ongoing exposure to forced labor risks. In a separate transaction, Morgan Stanley sponsored the IPO of Zijin Gold even after its parent company and Xinjiang subsidiaries were added to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List. Internal documents showed the firm identified significant sanctions and national security risks and moved forward regardless. Our investigation concluded that Wall Street’s due diligence processes prioritized deal completion over national security and human rights concerns. Policy changes are needed to stop U.S. financial institutions from bankrolling companies tied to the CCP’s military buildup and forced labor system. The rumor is, the NYPD is considering 12 hours tours with no RDO’s (Regular Days Off) for 60 days to cover the world cup and all summer festivities . If that comes to fruition every member of the NYPD would work at least 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for 60 straight days. That not only would rack up massive overtime for every member of the NYPD but also expose just how understaffed the NYPD actually is.

BREAKING: DHS confirms to @FoxNews that the semi truck driver arrested for killing two people in a hit & run crash near Sacramento, CA yesterday is an Indian illegal alien who was caught & released at the AZ border by the Biden admin in 2023. His name is Manvir Singh, and he is now facing charges in San Joaquin County, CA for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and hit & run resulting in death. He allegedly tried to flee the scene on foot after the crash. ICE has placed a detainer on him with local law enforcement. This is the fourth Indian illegal alien truck driver with the last name “Singh” that we’ve covered who has been arrested for killing innocent people in crashes around the country, going back to last year. No details on his CDL yet, or if he even has one. More to come.

8 GW of oil fired power. A spring heat wave. Gas pipes already full. New England’s energy system just failed and the fix is the pipeline nobody wants to approve🔥 ISO-New England burned oil this week to survive a May heat wave. Not January or a polar vortex... May. The gas pipes were full. Oil was the only answer. This is a 20 year old structural failure and it's getting worse, not better. ⛽ Enbridge just launched Project Beacon 300 mmcfd of new capacity on the Algonquin system into New England. Existing corridors. Target in-service 2030. Combined with AGT Enhancement (75 mmcfd, 2028): 375 mmcfd of new gas deliverability into the region by 2030. Enbridge's claim: up to $2 billion per year in savings by cutting peak oil burn and expensive spot LNG💰 New England has the most ambitious decarbonisation targets in the US. It also just burned oil in a spring heat wave because climate advocates blocked the last pipeline expansion and will fight this one too. You cannot decarbonise a grid that runs on oil at peak demand. Every barrel burned because a gas pipe was full is a direct consequence of blocking the infrastructure that would have prevented it. 🌍 That argument is getting harder to dismiss.

Corn ethanol was sold as green fuel. It was meant to cut emissions, improve energy security, and support rural America. Instead, it turns out corn ethanol depends on fossil fuels at every stage: tractors, trucks, fertilizer, pesticides, refineries, chemicals. Analysis found corn ethanol can actually increase CO2 emissions by 28% compared with gasoline. It also pushes farmland into fuel production, which raises food prices, increases water use, and worsens pollution. Big agriculture cashed in. The rest of us paid for it.
